December Test Drive!

Thinking of apping a character but not sure they'll fit in the city walls?
Have no fear, a meme for you is here.
Directions:
- Use an RNG to choose a location and prompt, or wait for someone else to tag.
- Post with your character with their name and canon on top!
- If you'd like, leave contact info for people to get in contact for plotting and other such shenans.
- Tag around! Make friends. Don't be afraid to chat OOC while tagging.
Locations
1.TRAIN STATION - The place where everyone gets dumped off at. Your first view of Ruby City, complete with informational posters telling you all about where you've ended up.
2. THE BEACH - Lovely year-round, though in the winter months, you're probably not likely to dip your toes in.
3. THE BLACK STALLION - A rather quaint bar. Supposedly, the burgers are great, but you don't see anyone immediately who's willing to serve you. Maybe you're meant to get it yourself.
4. THE OBELISK - The tall monolith in the center of the city marks the gathering place of many events, though right now it seems to be cold and dark.
5. THE CLOCKTOWER - Offering an impressive view of the city, several residents come here to clear their heads, if they don't mind braving the narrow staircase.
6. THE COFFEE JOINT - the front windows are warm and welcoming, and it seems there's always someone friendly enough to fix you a cup when you wander through.
7. THE CATACOMBS - Intrepid, aren't you? Those weird holes may beg exploring, but go too deep and you're going to be in a lot of trouble, considering the viciousness of the creatures held within.
8. THE CITY STREETS - All told, Ruby City is a lovely place, once you get past the fact that several of the buildings look derelict and on the verge of falling down. There's no harm in doing a little sightseeing.
9. THE PARK - You thought it'd be a lovely stroll, but the park is anything but friendly, if those approaching wolf-like creatures are any indication.
10. CHOOSE YOUR OWN - Don't like what we've come up with? Feel like picking your own place? There's a whole host of lovely locations to choose from in the City.
Scenarios
1. NEW ARRIVAL - Step off that train, walk down the street. People usually latch on to newcomers to try and help them out. Even if you look shy, the other residents probably won't be!
2. WATCH TALK - Feeling lost? Disoriented? Don't worry, everyone feels that way on their first day. Fortunately - if the signs at the station are to believed - the watch in your pocket can be used to talk to whoever else might be here.
3. BAD WEATHER - Aw, man. Whether it's snow, or rain, or just plain cold, today was definitely the wrong day to get dumped off in a City in the middle of nowhere.
4. A RUN-IN - Maybe you weren't watching. Maybe they weren't. Either way, you just bumped into someone. Perhaps apologies are in order?
5. HELP, IT HURTS - Clumsy, aren't you? Perhaps wherever the train brought you from wasn't so friendly, or you just tripped and twisted your ankle. Either way, you're in a bit of pain. Hopefully someone will notice your booboos and help patch you up.
6. HUNGRY - It isn't very obvious sometimes that restaurants are what they are, especially in a place like Ruby City. Where can a person go to get a bite to eat around here?
7. MISTAKEN IDENTITY - Hey, there's someone you know! --Or maybe not.
8. BEING FOLLOWED - Maybe you're just being paranoid, or maybe you've got a reason to be afraid. Whatever it is, it feels like there's eyes on you...
9. EVENTS - Feel free to look through our event tag!
10. CHOOSE YOUR OWN - Don't like any of these ideas? Feel free to come up with your own!

The rain has picked up now, a rough pitter-patter on the city streets, and Jonathan is cursing himself softly for not bringing an umbrella on his trip to the library. Soaked to the bone and drenched clothes sticking to his skin, he is at least thankful that the distance he has to travel home is a short one. Jonathan has been trained to keep his breathing steady no matter the intensity of his emotions or the peril of a situation. Something like this, just a minor annoyance on an otherwise uneventful day, is hardly an issue at all.
He stops breathing when he sees her.
It feels as if the rest of him follows suit in an instant, legs refusing to move any further, heart skipping a few more trembling beats, a flood of emotions overcoming every practical function in his body. Jonathan can scarcely believe his eyes, but he no longer has the strength to move, downpour continuing and fresh puddles dripping at his feet and time flowing on as ever, and all he can wonder is how nature has the gall not to abandon itself when she's here.
That wretched day on their honeymoon returns to him in that he can no longer speak, but Father which art in Heaven, if his eyes do not deceive him, he will not have enough natural time in his life to say how thankful he is for her.

Peeking out, she looks around, and sees a strangely familiar figure running toward her. She's seen no one at anything but a distance yet, and they seemed to disappear around corners and into buildings, so she hasn't bothered anyone. This person, however, is heading right for her. How chivalrous, and how kind! Perhaps they have a umbrella she could share.
The figure draws nearer, and grows more and more familiar, until she can recognize the shape of the shoulders and the pride in his gait, until he stops. It's curious, until everything registers again and she takes a halting step from under the awning, eyes wide in disbelief.
"Jojo?"
Her hairdo wilts a bit in the downpour, but she can't do anything so undignified as calling out so loudly as to make a scene. But, being ripped from the happiest moments of her life was so cruel that she feels immense longing inside her loudly beating heart. With increasingly insistent strides, she heads toward him, breaking into a run, heedless of the weather any longer.

When he sees her eyes shimmer with that same longing, when he sees her take that first step into the rain, everything in his body starts working again at the exact same time.
"Erinaaaaaa!"
Being dignified is just about the last thing on his mind, knowing that for all the times he's called her the light of his life, his time here was so much darker without her and he didn't even realize until the sun came into his life. He's absolutely dripping wet and he barely even notices, much less is able to care. His strides are much longer than hers, but when he meets Erina seconds later and knows her warmth against his chest again it feels as though it's been weeks, months, years since he's held her so tightly.
Jonathan's heart feels like it will soar out of his chest any second, cheeks hurting with how wide he's smiling. He hoists her up in the air by her waist, laughing robustly, spinning around without a care for the world around them.
Every struggle in his life has been worth it for her love.

Her hands rest on his chest, curling slightly as she's lifted, then slipping to his shoulders a few moments later. His joy has been hers, his heart her greatest desire, and she treasures him more than anything. He doesn't have to put her down yet, and she doesn't perhaps want him to, content to feel for a moment like she's flying, right with the sudden lightness within her. It's not the time for questions, but for sincere affection. Though it hasn't been so long for her, since the moment they were reunited and he asked her to marry him, she has wanted to spend every possible second in his company, or in his thoughts. And now they're reunited.
"Jojo," she says again, almost a sigh, but with the sunshine of the day they met, and a relief that's so clear in her eyes. "I knew you would find me."

In the face of everything that happened since their engagement, this all the more lovely, all the more bittersweet, and all the more everything he needs right now, all the more appropriate as they approach a holiday that's meant to be spent with the people you care about most. She's the reason he was able to live on after losing everything he held dear. Erina is his sunshine on his darkest days, the guiding light he couldn't live without, and he swears that he'll never let her go as long as his heart trembles for her.
He saw her wedding ring as he held her in the air, polished and new, and that's all the permission he needs to set her down just for a moment and kiss his wife with all the devotion he can muster, eyes fluttering closed as he cups her face in his hands.
If she's here, everything will be alright.

Erina's eyes close lightly, peacefully, and she sighs quite happily against his lips and slides her arms gently around him, so proper, but so enamored. Nobody else could possibly have been this for her.
