Locations

1.TRAIN STATION - The place where everyone gets dumped off at. Your first view of Ruby City, complete with informational posters telling you all about where you've ended up.
2. THE BEACH - Lovely year-round, though in the winter months, you're probably not likely to dip your toes in.
3. THE BLACK STALLION - A rather quaint bar. Supposedly, the burgers are great, but you don't see anyone immediately who's willing to serve you. Maybe you're meant to get it yourself.
4. THE OBELISK - The tall monolith in the center of the city marks the gathering place of many events, though right now it seems to be cold and dark.
5. THE CLOCKTOWER - Offering an impressive view of the city, several residents come here to clear their heads, if they don't mind braving the narrow staircase.
6. THE COFFEE JOINT - the front windows are warm and welcoming, and it seems there's always someone friendly enough to fix you a cup when you wander through.
7. THE CATACOMBS - Intrepid, aren't you? Those weird holes may beg exploring, but go too deep and you're going to be in a lot of trouble, considering the viciousness of the creatures held within.
8. THE CITY STREETS - All told, Ruby City is a lovely place, once you get past the fact that several of the buildings look derelict and on the verge of falling down. There's no harm in doing a little sightseeing.
9. THE PARK - You thought it'd be a lovely stroll, but the park is anything but friendly, if those approaching wolf-like creatures are any indication.
10. CHOOSE YOUR OWN - Don't like what we've come up with? Feel like picking your own place? There's a whole host of lovely locations to choose from in the City.

Scenarios

1. NEW ARRIVAL - Step off that train, walk down the street. People usually latch on to newcomers to try and help them out. Even if you look shy, the other residents probably won't be!
2. WATCH TALK - Feeling lost? Disoriented? Don't worry, everyone feels that way on their first day. Fortunately - if the signs at the station are to believed - the watch in your pocket can be used to talk to whoever else might be here.
3. BAD WEATHER - Aw, man. Whether it's snow, or rain, or just plain cold, today was definitely the wrong day to get dumped off in a City in the middle of nowhere.
4. A RUN-IN - Maybe you weren't watching. Maybe they weren't. Either way, you just bumped into someone. Perhaps apologies are in order?
5. HELP, IT HURTS - Clumsy, aren't you? Perhaps wherever the train brought you from wasn't so friendly, or you just tripped and twisted your ankle. Either way, you're in a bit of pain. Hopefully someone will notice your booboos and help patch you up.
6. HUNGRY - It isn't very obvious sometimes that restaurants are what they are, especially in a place like Ruby City. Where can a person go to get a bite to eat around here?
7. MISTAKEN IDENTITY - Hey, there's someone you know! --Or maybe not.
8. BEING FOLLOWED - Maybe you're just being paranoid, or maybe you've got a reason to be afraid. Whatever it is, it feels like there's eyes on you...
9. EVENTS - Feel free to look through our event tag!
10. CHOOSE YOUR OWN - Don't like any of these ideas? Feel free to come up with your own!

[Erina isn't the only one caught off guard by the rain. It doesn't bother him, though - there are far worse things than being a little wet, but it does hurry his steps some. Having come from the library with a bag full of books he was more concerned about getting inside only to find everything water damaged. That would be a hassle.

At first he doesn't pay any attention to the woman standing under the awning as he starts to pass her by until she speaks up. His steps slow down and just on a whim he turns his head to look at her and then altogether stops.

She's familiar, but he can't quite... place it.]

[Now that she has her bearings slightly, Erina notes the passer by, thinking little of him until he turns his head and looks at her. He stops, and she wants more than anything for him to keep going, for he can't be anything but a ghost. Then again, drenched as he is, and as disoriented as she has been, perhaps she's seeing things.

Without moving, she simply stares. If fate has somehow seen to it that she's been put in a place stranger than fiction, that may be the very image of Dio Brando. Perhaps a relative? No. Impossible. Perhaps...

Well, she has no explanation at all.]

[He sees recognition when she focuses on him in return and then horror. That seemed to be the most common reaction to him here and it was starting to really grate his nerves.

Dio narrows his eyes at her. A few drops of rain water run down the side of his face and drip off his jaw.]

Tell me your name.

[Erina recognizes him, yes, and straightens as he speaks. He seems a mere child. She recalls that child, and the way he tried to destroy--almost successfully--the one man she loved most of all. It's confusing, though, for him to look like this.]

I wouldn't like to, unless you do the same.

[Of course it wouldn't be so easy. He almost smirks at her quip back. Almost.]

Are you afraid of a mere child, my lady? [No. Of course not.] I believe you already know the answer so let's not play games. [And then it hits him all at once, like a strap breaking under pressure. His eyes widen and he smiles, but he is far from happy.

He could never forget that fire in her eyes. Its touch left scorch marks.]

Erina.

[Her heart pounds in her chest, her whole body freezes, though her eyes and her posture speak to defiance of the young man before her. His smile can stay there all he wants, but she won't give in.]

I am not afraid of you... Dio.

[It's a guess, a chance, but it makes sense, while at the same time not at all. He shouldn't be here. And yet... part of her truly is frightened. She knows he's dangerous, reckless, and always has been. He tried to destroy Jonathan, and her happiness as well. If she had it in her heart to forgive him, she already would have.]

Of course you aren't. Why would you be? [Everyone was older than him and with the memories of a future he can't seem to grasp long enough to see into. He's angry and hates it. He hates Jonathan - that bastard was the root of all this and all of Dio's problems.

Did she know Jonathan was here? Him and his posse of followers, the blind leading the blind. Seeing all of them made him sick and even sicker knowing they were always hovering over him with every intention to strike when the time was right.]

Your Jonathan is here. Did you know that?

[She gasps, hands covering her mouth as he reveals what she admittedly is pleased enough to hear. She isn't alone. But her heart still aches with memories of times past, and things she does and doesn't know are all intermingling in a story of why she should probably be kinder to Dio than he ever was to her or Jonathan.]

Jojo? He's here?

[Quiet surprise may prove the most prudent course.]

[She knows more of the story than he does at this moment so at least she has that advantage. As slight as it is.]

That's right. [He brushes back a few locks of hair from his face.] Tell me, what is the last thing you remember? [Oh so casual, this is normal.]

[See, now... That doesn't sound like a wise thing to answer, so Erina faintly shakes her head. Dio is a terrible person, on some level, or on all levels, and she's not helping him if her Jojo is here.

Ah, but he did find it necessary to tell her the truth on that one... If it is, in fact, the truth.]

I would rather speak to my husband.

This might be the most sincere look of surprise he's worn yet.]

Your husband? [Jonathan?]

[Good. Let him be shocked. Kind of. He doesn't own her or her life, and nothing could keep her from Jonathan, in the end.]

My husband.

You married him? [Surprise turning into disgust. Fucking gross, Erina.]

And here I pegged you as someone remotely intelligent. Did old age reduce that to nothing?

[Old age? Good lord. How long did she wait to see him again, to regain the courage to be by his side, and help him in his hour of need? It was the best choice she ever made. And he's an idiot.]

How intelligent were you to wrong him as much as you did?

[Oh gosh did she say that???]

[He's already on edge enough and every grasp at regaining his composure is yanked away from him again.]

I have yet to do anything! [Which isn't a complete lie - from his point in time he really hasn't done anything to warrant all of... this.

Dio turns himself towards her, hands clenched in anger.] In fact I want nothing to do with you or your precious Joestar so when you do happen to find him I hope he's rotting in a ditch with the rest of his filth.

[She's not afraid of him. She no longer has reason to be. She's a woman grown and he's but a child. The defiance in her eyes is somehow gentle, as she struggles to understand him just once. It's not that she wants to help, but merely that she wants to know why.]

What happened to make you hate him so? To hate everyone, all things in such a terrible way?
