[it was strange to hear her acknowledge the curse existed. since mary margaret had given him the book, she'd made out he was crazy for saying that!] That's great. But how did you get magic? Was that a side effect of breaking the curse?

Not entirely. Mr. Gold was so kind as to return a book to me, which restored my powers.

[For the most part. Somewhat.]

So why didn't you just get rid of the book?

It is a long story.

I had intended to restore my powers, the situation called for it. Your views on magic merely did not match with mine.

After what you've used magic for, I'm not surprised. You hurt people, destroyed them and separated families. Why would my views on magic be anything else?

But this world...

Right. Where are we?

It is called Ruby City. Most of the other inhabitants come from different worlds than we do - with the exception of one, I have not heard a word from any of those before, however.

[But that's a different matter.]

Some have magical powers, something is not right with the people in charge of this city, it is all very ... special.

[And not the good kind of special, either.]

Maybe there's a curse here too. Maybe we can break it. [maybe they could do it together. but henry wasn't sure enough to say that part out loud.]

[Well, it's close enough for her.]

We are trapped here, so we might as well do something. [Like keeping him the hell out of harm's way, but she wouldn't say that just now.]

We should see if their library is boarded up too. And if it's not, maybe there's a book like mine that tells us what happened. Do the people here remember or do you think it's the same as yours?

[henry continues to babble about the different things he used under operation cobra to bring down the curse at home, wondering if they would work here. he's quite excited about breaking another curse.]

[ Well, if this was a kidnapping, it was most than certainly original, whilst lacking just a bit in the performance department. Miles idled a bit, enjoying the nice scenery outside until the fog rolled in. A pity, he thought. The scenery was nice. Rude, fog. As the train arrived at the station, he was quick to hop off onto the station, taking a nice look at the city and having the courtesy to wait around for two minutes for his clearly beginner kidnappers. Christ, if you're going to kidnap someone at least don't leave them hanging. Rude, kidnappers. After waiting around a bit, he noticed the odd watch on his pocket, and quickly fiddled around with it, switching the video on, contrary to his awareness. ]

Well, I'll be darned if this isn't the most delinquent kidnapping I've ever had the pleasure of being a part of.

[ He kicked a nearby rock, looking at the looming buildings. ]

One would think whoever went through the trouble of stuffing me in there would at least have the decency to show their ugly mugs.

This is...strange.

[And not exactly what she has in mind, either. She only just got off the thing she arrived on with no one accompanying her. There had been no one to ask questions. She is just as confused as when she woke. At least she is able to walk steadily. She glances back but it is pointless. She proceeds to walk forward only to bring her arms around herself. It's cold. Too cold. Gritting her teeth, she begins to run forward. She needs to find someone or maybe she can figure things out on her own.]

My name's Dean. _{[He says this slowly, as he thinks that'll help her process everything he's about to tell her.]} You're in a place called Ruby City. I'm not sure how you got here, or how anyone got here, but I'm working on finding a way for everyone to get back home.

[Well, unfortunately for this poor yet not so poor soul, this blind justice seeker lad is from way after you, and she has in mind the kind of thing you've done, and once she's able to spot you, she'll want to make you wish you weren't ever born.

Which she clearly knows it won't work.

Once she's in her way back home after a long day with many ice skating and snow balls fighting shenanigans, there's a particular familiar scent in the air that she instantly recognizes.

She rushes to the sources, hands set on her walking stick to open and reveal a hidden blade. Quickly, she's close enough to him, with the sharp blade close to his throat and a glaring Pyrope, ready to do whatever was needed if something went against her plans.]
