[Hello beloved town, have a puzzled Roxy at the video feed, staring at you, waiting to get the deets, because that place was clearly some place she never heard of. Ruby City? Next time, do please actually mean it and make this city full of rubies. Dang gurl, she would be hella rich with that, wearing all that pretty bling bling.

But it was familiar at the same time. She knew she was there before, but she clearly doesn't remember anything. Hint: Maybe a little too drunk in the moment she came around?

God damn, where was everyone.]

Janey? Dirk? Jake?

[Suddenly, she remembered there was something important. Rather, someone.]

Mum?

[Why did she think she was there? Well, it's a Lalonde thing. You will never understand.]

Lookie, I just kno' someone's there. Don't keep hiddin' your pretty face from me, missy or mister.

[...Ah. Hold on, Roxy, Mother need a second to compose herself so she doesn't look like a deer in the headlights when she appears on camera. It doesn't work as well as she'd hoped.]

The thought did briefly cross my mind. [She's already pulling her coat on and hurrying out the door to get to the train station. She stoops briefly to scoop up Diamanda and slams the door behind her. She figures Roxy would enjoy meeting something fluffy that purrs.]

You'll wring no tears from me, young lady. However I'll be at the station momentarily to bring you home.

[She chuckles as she sits on the stairs close to the station. Give her a break, it was cold and she was still trying to sort out some of the memories she had from that place.]

Great. I wouldn't expect less from big momma Lalonde.

[A pause.]

I missed ya.

...I missed you too, Roxy.

[The station isn't that far of a walk from House 12. Rose half-runs, keeping her kitten tucked snugly into her coat to protect her from the chill. She slows down when the train station, and Roxy, are in sight and comes to a complete stop at the foot of the stairs.]

[She smiles as soon as she spots Rose and gets up, cleaning her dress to be sure she was looking good.

She slowly gets closer, setting her eyes to the kitty she was carrying.]

Well, aren't you one presh and grumpy kitty? [She giggles as she gets close enough to pet its head.] I bet you make a wicked duo with your owner.

[She then looks back at Rose, a smile cracking in the corner of her mouth. She whispers a "hey mum" and suddenly hugs her.

She had a fight with Jane some minutes ago; let her take advantage of that moment to hold and know she was wanted and loved there.]

I hope you don't have booze at home, because I leaved that shit a while ago and I don't want to get back.

Oh, and you smell really nice

[If anything was going to snap him out of the stupor that his latest wave of boredom had pushed him into, it's hearing Roxy's voice again. Dirk sits up, pushing his shades up the bridge of his nose, and hunches over the watch held on his lap as he flicks the feed on to respond.

Really, he wants to come out with something witty. Normally he'd manage it without even trying, but he's missed her..]

... Hey, Rox. Been wonderin' when you'd swing on through here again.

[She stepped off the train, with a perplexed look on her face. How the hell did she wind up here?]

Excuse me!

[The train, she remembered. She had left from London earlier that day en route to the village of Cheddar for business. Instead, she found herself on the last stop to someplace called 'Ruby City'. God could she use a cigar right about now. She rummaged around in her pockets, only to find a strange looking watch. ]

What... is this?

[When he steps off the train, his movements are fluid, but with caution. Piercing green eyes regard the station with a combination of concern and suspicion, and slowly, he begins to move about it with care.

It's not just his surroundings, vastly different from what he remembers in his last memories before the darkness...and Chihiro's voice had faded away before he'd awoken on the train.

It's also the sounds and smells. It has been years since he's heard such silence - not even the babble of the workers after hours penetrated this silence, though he could sense life in this strange city.

Was this another home for spirits? He somehow highly doubted it; it didn't feel like his world.]

[The silence is interrupted by someone stumbling around the station, staring at the surroundings with a mixture of shock and awe. This isn't nowhere near medieval China.

Nowhere. Near.

She's never seen a train before - let alone could name it as one, and this method of travel had left quite the impact. Not unlike the strange new smell and the odd look of the city itself.]

Hello? Are you from here?

[Armed and dressed elegantly, as a king should be, the Elvenking of Mirkwood stood in the station of Ruby City with a glare upon his face. He had things more important to concern himself with than whatever nonsense this might include. The watch goes completely ignored, he wanted nothing from this strange place but a swift return to Mirkwood so that he could lead his people the Lake-town.]

Why does everyone keep saying we look alike? My face isn't nearly as grumpy as hers. [Rose is a little surprised by the suddenness of the hug but she's quick to return it. She wraps her arms around Roxy and holds her as tightly as she can. Ignore the fact she's shaking, Roxy, it's just from the cold.]

Bro has been trying to drown himself in it as of late but I'll get rid of what's in the house. [She's so proud of you, girlie. You have no idea. See, you're even getting a kiss on the head.] Thank you, sweetheart. That's a very nice sweaterdress you're wearing.

[Haku's eyes turn sharply at the sound; a human, he can tell by the smell, but he's curious. If this is a spirit city, and there was a human here...well, it wouldn't be the first time, but it would be too strange a coincidence.

He regards her clothing passively as he approaches her, and shakes his head.]

No. Like you, I've just arrived from the train. [His voice is even tempered, and older than his appearance, a youth of eleven or twelve.] Also like you, I don't know how I've arrived here, nor how to return home.

[ A blonde, tall woman stepped out of the train, staring longingly at the city. ]

My breasts are telling me that this is not good.

[ Allison certainly doesn't remember getting on a train, let alone one to who knows where.

And it's almost freezing to boot. Allison hugs her torso, and steps out of the train station glancing around. ]

[ His sudden appearance makes her jump, and she lets out a noise, relaxing when she sees that.. it's someone human.

Not that she's any less wary. ] I don't really have anywhere else to go.

You need to find somewhere. It's not exactly safe out here, alright? There's some restaurants down the street. Any unoccupied building is free game.

I'd really just like to try and find my house, thanks.

It's called Ruby City, although it isn't much of one. There's about a hundred other people here and they're all stuck too.
