[But since he's a Servant, this is pretty much a given.]

You? Who'd want to do whatever lame tricks you can pull off by rubbing your two braincells together? You aren't better than me, so stop acting like you are!

[Lancer mentally runs through his list of abilities that he can show off without outright exposing his Servant status. Spear tricks? He'd need to manifest the spear first. Spirit mode? Would out him as a Servant. Dog affinity? No dogs. Runic magic? Maybe.]

[He quickly sketches the ansuz rune to create a little flame that dances in the palm of his hand.]

How's that? Better than computers, right?

Killian?! [His face contorts into a sneer, his arms clinging tighter to her sides.] Did he try to hurt you? Are you alright?

[Gold stares at the broom quizzically, but says nothing of it. So this is not a land without magic, that much is easy to tell. He's still quite lost, though.

He straightens his back, both hands resting on top of his cane] Thank you. And who might you be?

[At the sound of the feminine voice, Oliver turns, and his own eyes are immediately noticeable as well. Far from human, with a rich blue that encompasses almost the entire iris and pupil - elven eyes. Straightening his posture, he smiles in a welcoming, if rakish manner and steps towards her.]

Hello, dear lady. [He nods his head graciously.] I'm afraid I don't have a clue, and judging by the curiosity in those beautiful eyes of yours, I suspect you feel much the same.

I assure you, I mean you no harm unless, of course, you bring that harm with you behind a pretty disguise.

You are now a very confused guy standing at a train station for the past thirty minutes, trying to think of what the hell was going on until his thought process was interrupted by the train arriving, and out of it steps a lovely lady, curled autumn hair draping from her head like something that was really beautiful. He couldn't really think right, and hid behind a nearby wall, nervous beyond all comparison. Okay dude, you can do this. YOU CAN DO THIS. He stepped away from the wall, slowly so as to not startle her and waved. ]

[ And then he tripped on a pebble and fell on his face. ]

[WOAH WAIT WHAT. Normally he'd say something about it just being a friendly suggestion, but—]

Are you—a Servant?!

[Considering he's still half-convinced this is some bizarre digital simulation he's been trapped in after losing the elimination battle, the prospect of him not being the only one stuck here is exciting, somehow. He doesn't even stop to think before blurting that out, so the fact that a Servant from his own universe would know what the Moon Cell is slips his mind.]

[there's a column nearby enough that allows her to peek. it's not so much that she doesn't want to help as it is that this isn't something she's used to. but then, it's always the other way around.

when she finally gathers the courage to approach him, she does so silently, one careful step after the other, her hand ready to tap his shoulder.]

[He senses her there, a vague form that his Grace perceives but he can't determine what she looks like. Only that the figure is a female and she's hesitant. Po's head lifts up and turns to look towards her, eyes still unfocused and he's unsure of whether or not to let her touch him.

He makes no move to stop her though. He knows he needs help. And his eyes lower to the ground soon after. Even if he can't see, most people don't like looking into eyes of a Graceling.]

[Oops. Shit. He suddenly isn't sure if this Servant will try to kill him if he answers honestly, even if it would be ridiculous for the War to continue here. He didn't even have a Servant to fight with, so how could it? Automatically, he tries to put his basket of junk food between the two of them, not that it'll do a lot of good for him if this guy does decide to attack.]

[Not that his knees are shaking or anything. (They are, a little. He's not stupid, and being in front of a Servant with no protection is not a place a Master wants to be. Not even a former one.)]

I— [Automatically, he steals a glance at the back of his hand, despite knowing that his Command Seals burned away when he was defeated and that they were never really on the body, anyway. Smooth.] I learned about them from the Moon Cell.

[It's not really a lie.]

[The faint killing intent Lancer has been giving off vanishes and his body visibly relaxes.]

Man, I didn't know human computers stored information about magi.

[Modern magi were usually a secretive bunch.]

But look, kid. you shouldn't pry too much into that stuff, okay? Could be dangerous.

[When Lancer relaxes, Shinji sighs in relief in relief. Not very discreet, but when has he ever been? In any case, he doesn't come out from behind his barrier of snacks.]

...The Moon Cell isn't a human computer. There's information stored inside it about everything that has ever happened on earth.

[Though it occurs to him now that a Servant not knowing about that stuff is really weird. And considering that the people here had supposedly come from different times—]

[It clicks.]

Are you...from before the mana dried up?

[Maybe the people here were just junk NPCs made from discarded simulations and faulty predictions. That would make as much sense as anything else.]
