[Excuse him for a moment there, because he thinks he just heard her say she's staying under the same roof as that man. His eyebrows knit closer together, and he's not really smiling anymore.]

You're living with him?!

Oh no. [James chuckled.] I've been doing these introductions for...a long time. [His broom slowly flies backwards towards the nearest wall so its owner can lean against it, James thinking about the past for a moment.]

[Gold doesn't show any surprise at that, he's seen enough magic in his lifetime, and different enough kinds, to not be impressed by a flying broom. He bows his head slightly at James.]

Then I will bother you no further about it. I think I will do fine finding what I want to know on my own.

[When she had first shown up on the train, she had still been covered in his blood. But now he was here, and when he wrapped his arms around her she knew that he was actually real.]

I'm so sorry...

[James jumped out of his reverie and off his broom at the same time.] Oh, it's no bother. I enjoy meeting the new people that come here. I just hate the monotony of explaining you're stuck.

Besides, you must be thirsty after your trip. [There's a small smirk that wasn't there before. Gold might want to be careful with that.]

[ Oh.
Oh, no she really did go too far with that. ]

W-well... [ Is there any way to explain it that won't make it all ten times worse. Look at her, she looks apologetic in the least. ] I didn't think it would be a problem. Would you rather I spent my time alone, holed up somewhere?

[He pulls away a little now, just one hand barely resting on her arm. He shakes his head slightly, still frowning.]

Of course not, Belle. But how did you not see how dangerous this could be? You don't even know him... [Gold cuts himself short because... well she did go with him back when they made their deal, and Rumpelstiltskin, The Dark One, puts the very definition of 'dangerous' to shame.]

This man-- once he realizes who you are, he's going to try to kill you.

He- he won't! [ She shakes her head. This isn't an attempt to argue with him, as much as it's a feeble attempt to reason with him... Somehow. ] I know it doesn't make sense, but last I saw him, I was... [ In a tower. ] He had a hook for a hand. But, but not this time.

You have nothing to worry about. [ She offers a smile and, meek as it may be at this very moment, it should be worth something. ] I promise.

I'm sure most people have more questions than I.

[Gold shoots him a quizzical look at the strange change of topic.] Not really. Though if I was, I take it I could just help myself to some water for free, isn't that right?

Usually yes. I'm assuming your world has some sort of magic as most tend to stare at my entrances.

[James nodded.] Of course. But I always find water quite bland. Isn't there anything you'd prefer?

[fairdeal]

[He doesn't look as angry as he does confused now, as he processes her words.] You mean to tell me he's from before we... he still has his hand?

[fairdeal]

Yes, where I come from people are quite used to magic and its dealings.

Not particularly. Is there anything you suggest?

Shame. Muggle reactions are usually the most fun.

I have plenty of suggestions. Why don't we take a tour a find out?

Yes, exactly. [ A nod. But then, Belle realises his question and gives him a puzzled look. ] How do you know about his hand? Is that why he wanted to kill you?

[fairdeal]

Very well, James. Lead the way.

[Alright, curiosity will get the best of him this time.] And what is a muggle?

[Grabbing his broom, James started out of the station at a slow pace. He'd noticed the cane early on and wasn't sure how fast Gold would be.]

A muggle is a person who can't do magic. But so far only my world seems to use the term.

[fairdeal]

[Gold walks just as fast as anyone else, albeit with a very slight limp. The cane is just for extra swag points.]

It's the first time I hear the word too. Though where I come from anyone could do magic, if only they wish to learn.

[James speeds up slightly to walk alongside him.]

Interesting. On my world, you're either born with magic or you're not. Usually your parents have it and it's been passed down but that's not always the case.

[Her question prompts a cheerful laugh from Oliver - he moves to take the pamphlet from her hand, but takes her hand instead and kisses it fondly, his elven eyes twinkling a bit.]

Saying that I am a traveled man is quite the understatement, Miss Lorelei. [He releases her hand and bows in an almost theatrical manner, but then again, he has a very gypsy-like appearance to him, so it fits impressively well.]

Don't be silly. [her coat's getting in the way of her waterskin's strap. luckily, it has a little hook she can unbind.] Here.

[ There's a blatant air of uncertainty surrounding her after he has reached for her hand - Lorelei is certainly the kind of person who, albeit unintentionally, is quick to display a significant lack of social skills. Her reactions aren't ill-intended; far from it. But it feels like she's walking on eggshells and she's slowly trying to push that feeling away. ]

Oliver Valarian. [ She repeats his name with a slight nod, although her next words are spoken with a hint of hesitation. ] It's... A pleasure to meet you. Even if I don't understand how this happened.

[ It couldn't have possibly been a spell. She has never heard of one that could take her to a different location, much less at random. ]

You're probably just some junk data from another simulation. No clue why the system hasn't deleted you yet, but hey, maybe the Moon Cell just thought this place needed a joke character.

[He takes a moment to sputter again.]

Hey! I'm a real, live Servant! You're the one who's a joke!

[There's a moment of hesitation, trying to make sure her intentions were pure before he smiled a bit and accepted it. He didn't drink much though, just enough to ease his stomach and wet his throat.]

[He notices her uncertainty and immediately gives her a bit of space, respectful. He doesn't seem put off by her lack of social skills, however, and gestures with a flourish. One thing he learned from growing up in a gypsy caravan were plenty of stage tricks. A flower appears in his hand and he offers it to her with a smile.]

And a pleasure to meet you. You can relax, I am far from the sort of nobility that would expect you to have extreme social grace. I'm a nomad and a wanderer. As for this...

[He looks around thoughtfully, and slides a thumb into his purple sash in a jaunty manner.] I'd assume some sort of teleportation magic...except that I can't explain the automated wagon that brought me here.
