TEST-DRIVE MEME

Maybe you've considered appping a new character but you're not sure how well they would adjust to the in-game scenario? Well, here's a chance to give it a try!
• Post with a character journal you'd like to voicetest or you've considered apping to Ruby City. Feel free to play them as newcomers or as if they've been here for a while - the setting is your own choice.
•Respond to other threads with new characters or with characters who are already in the game.
• Explore different interactions, find castmates, develop possible CR - anything you want, as long as you have fun!
Bertholdt Fubar | Shingeki no Kyojin
Ruby City..?
[It didn't ring any bell. He had never heard of any "Ruby City". His hands reached for the sword handles, defensive. He was rarely ever seen without the company of his childhood friend and now, he found himself all alone, in a place he did not know. His brows knitted, expression clearly showing his distress.]
Reiner..?
[He attempted to call out, only further worsening is affliction, as his call remained unanswered.]
Anyone?
no subject
[ A voice came from another point in the station. Another young man had just gotten there, just as lost, just as confused. He was sure he hadn't seen anyone else in the train, as he was sure the train had disappeared before, just as he had turned his back to it...it came back?
He took the time to look at the posters and look for any station employees or...anyone, really. It relieved him to finally hear another voice.]
Over here!
bertholdt "awkward silence" fubar
Bertholdt loosened the grip, taking a step in his direction. Questioning him regarding their whereabouts didn't seem very smart, considering they both looked equally lost.]
Honey,I'm pretty sure he's the least of your worries
His smile fades at bit when he notices the sharp weapons the other is carrying. One can't blame him for feeling a tinge of nervousness though, not after what he's been through. But still, he tries to remain his composure, swallowing dryly, looking up at the taller figure.]
H-hey, are you from around here?
Re: Honey,I'm pretty sure he's the least of your worries
N-no, I am not. I have just arrived..
I suppose you have too..?
[At least someone was there, that place wasn't complete deserted, that was.. good, he guessed. And the other one did not seem to represent any sort of threat, allowing him to relax just slightly.]
no subject
Oh, huh...
Did you arrive on the train?
[That he doesn't remember ever boarding.]
no subject
Hm, the railway engine..?
I.. suppose? I have never really seen this sort of transport before, much less do I remember boarding it..
[He furrows brows slightly, trying to recall it, without any luck.]
no subject
A further worrying factor, however, is that he doesn't remember entering it either. ]
Y...you too? [ And his confusion is clear in his voice.
This...this is all sounding worryingly familiar, and that CANNOT be good.]
Hey...what's your name?
no subject
[Well, that is certainly something to worry about as well.]
Ah, I'm Bertholdt.. and you..?
no subject
My name is-- [ And he stops, glancing behind Bertholdlt, eyes widening.]
W...where did it go?!
[The train is, in fact, gone. Gone while the both of them weren't looking.]
no subject
[He turns his head, eyes widening as well. The engine was gone..?! How was that possible, it couldn't have moved in perfect silence and it couldn't have just.. dissipated into thin air, could it..?]
H-How did it.. it was right.. here..
no subject
W-what's...going on?...
[ He takes a few steps towards the edge of the station, as if to make sure it really wasn't there. He looks at the tracks, then where they come from and where they go, seeing nothing but the horizon.
He's at loss for words. This is like a dream...]
spppoooooilers up in here yo
[What an asshole.]
Oi, cadet.
oh boy
Sir..!
[Bertholdt turns around to face him, promptly saluting his superior.]
[Poor thing's completly unaware of whatever you hear about him upon your arrival, corporal.]
