TEST-DRIVE MEME

Maybe you've considered appping a new character but you're not sure how well they would adjust to the in-game scenario? Well, here's a chance to give it a try!
• Post with a character journal you'd like to voicetest or you've considered apping to Ruby City. Feel free to play them as newcomers or as if they've been here for a while - the setting is your own choice.
•Respond to other threads with new characters or with characters who are already in the game.
• Explore different interactions, find castmates, develop possible CR - anything you want, as long as you have fun!
hey look, santa! (Nicholas St. North, ROTG)
excuse me i need this.
/good/
Ah, hello, moy dorogoy.

But he looks so familiar, almost like---]
Are... are you Santa?

[ He strokes his beard thoughtfully, considering her. He's sure her name is somewhere on the Nice list-- ]
Ah! One of the Pines!
no subject
Ohmygosh I can't believe you're here!
[wait. ]
Wait a minute, Santa, why are you here? Shouldn't you be at the North Pole right now?
no subject
[ Though, he doesn't appear as concerned as he is. Not when he has a twelve year old girl with her pig looking up at him with such wonder. ]
oh hey i know you :U
over two feet taller than him, in fact.
and older than anyone he's ever seen before. ]
howdy!
Have a cheerful little wave. ]

Ah.. It's a communication device.

[ He hums, understandingly, before closing the watch for the time being. ]

[ when in doubt, blame magic. it's worked well for him so far, so he figures he may as well share this lovely insight. ]
no subject
[ Magic is a good explanation for many things that he's dealt with, so this is no different. ]

here's your blue eyed boy wonder, North
Baby Tooth, don't go flying off like that...!
[Jack stops short when he sees North, everything coming back to him. Being chosen, the tooth race, the disaster that was Easter...North's disappointed face. He slows down his descent, hugging his staff close to him.]
Uh, h-hey, North...I wasn't expecting you to show up...
moy syn!
[ About to ask if that means Tooth or Jack are about, as well, North stops as his question is answered before it's asked. He smiles cheerfully as first, drawing himself up as he closes the pocketwatch.
But before a greeting leaves him, he sees the way Jack is holding himself. He's upset. Something's happened, to make him act this way. His concern is immediately piqued, and it shows in his frown and the crease of his brow. ]
Jack! I did not either-- are you all right? Have you been here long?
papa :c
We got here a few weeks before Christmas which...I'm guessing it was just Easter for you back home. [Jack waves the hand wrapped around his staff.] There's weird time shenanigans around this place, trust me.
BUNDLES UP
Is that last thing you remember? [ There is, he can tell, something off here. If Jack is asking whether he's from Easter or not, he can't help but wonder... ]
CLINGS
The way that his eyes glance away should be enough to answer the question, Baby Tooth trilling a confirmation noise as she nods.]
BEARHUGS
This Jack has not found his center.
Gently, his hand comes down on his shoulder, enveloping it as it had at the North Pole after Sandy's death. His expression softens, and he smiles. ]
You will make things right, when the time comes for you. Believe me.
no subject
I'm sorry, North, I'm so sorry. There was a voice and I followed it and Pitch he...he lured me into his lair with my memories...
no subject
And, lord! How there had been so much good after. But they would all learn from the mistakes made that Easter.
Lowering on bended knee and putting himself more on Jack's level, his free hand settles on his other shoulder. ]
I forgive you, Jack Frost. And you will see, I am not the only one to. This I promise you.
no subject
Jack takes a deep breath to stop himself from babbling and lifts his eyes, staring at the older man before he responds, tugging his staff closer into the crook of his arm.]
H-how can you? That easily? I mean I haven't even done anything back home...
no subject
Because I know who you are. What you have done, and what you will do. I believe in you, Jack.
no subject
...Thanks, North. [There's a pause.] I'm glad someone does.
