[With that cryptic message, Sirius starts the motor and heads up into the sky.]

Hold on tight!

[And then there is only screaming - manly screaming, mind you - as he clings to his brother for dear life and squeezes his eyes shut.]

...I want a broom...

Oh, come on, I haven't even sped up yet.

[That said, he does exactly that and perhaps he also has them gain altitude a tad faster than they'd strictly speaking have to.

Because big brother, that's why.]

Don't piss yourself!

[There's nothing he can do but mutter the vilest of insults and make a list of Dark curses he's going to shoot at Sirius as soon as he dares to stop clinging to him and reach for his wand.]

I hate you, I hate you so much...

[But it's almost like being on a broom and he used to be an excellent flier, back at Hogwarts when he had the time to fly regularly. Soon enough, the view is distracting him, he's never seen Ruby City from the air.]

[Sirius ignores it and just enjoys the wind, enjoys the speed, most especially enjoys the curve he makes that seems to feel as if they are about to just tumble over.]

Still not quite like flying on a broom, but I love it.

[He wouldn't go that far, but once you get past the mind-numbing terror it's actually quite nice. He hadn't even realized how much he missed flying.]

As far as a date with my bloody brother goes I'm not complaining. But if you ever scare me like that again I'm going to Crucio you.

Yeah? Then you better get your Unforgivable ready. But first: HOLD ON!

[Yeah, that is shouted, and that is also the only warning Regulus gets before Sirius speeds up even more and steers them further up into the sky, gradually just about getting them into a vertical position.]

...going to KILL you!

[And then he is back to making a noise somewhere between a yell and a whoop. If he were flying it would be all whooping, after all a Seeker is used to daring maneuvers, but being completely at Sirius' mercy... Well.]

You're crazy. Who taught you to fly like that?

Mostly a very dominant morbid streak.

[And isn't that good to hear right before the vehicle you sit on turns on its head and, yeah, Sirius is making them fly a looping, fast enough to pull it off before they can fall down. Only then he slows again, laughing, crazed, and ecstatic.]

[He's going to kill him. Just going to kill him. Nothing about it. As soon as they are back on firm ground. He may have pulled stunts just as crazy as that, but it's different when Sirius is doing it.]

I'm going to puke on you, you prat!

Come on, Regulus. Don't you like feeling free?

[He looks back at him over his shoulder, smiling brightly.]

Do you really want to land?

Are you kidding? No! [Regulus shakes his head, laughing all the while.] But I want to fly! I don't trust your piloting skills. I still remember when we were small and you kept crashing into the stairs with your toy broom!

That was me trying to test limits. Mostly the ones of my skull, I reckon.

[Sirius laughs and then suddenly just lets go of the handlebars.]

Take over, Reg. Now!

Merlin's fucking... [And then the cursing turns to full-blown screams as he tries to climb around Sirius, which sends the motorcycle wildly careening and then spiraling downwards. Still cursing and yelling, Regulus simply reaches around him to grasp the handlebars and jerks the bike sharply up, or as sharply as he can at this awkward angle.]

...gonna kill you, Sirius, kill you!

[Unfortunately, all Sirius has to say on the subject is loud, barking laughter. Eventually he helps his brother climb around him more though, even putting a hand on the handlebars again.]

You still scream like a little girl.

And you're still a wanker.

[But he feels more secure now that he is properly piloting the bike. The wind is whipping at his hair and stinging in his eyes.]

It's perfect. I didn't realize how much I'd missed this.

It's one of the things I miss most.

[Back in prison, but he's not going to mention that. Not when he's as close to feeling free as he can get.]

We should get brooms.

[Regulus is silent for a moment, caught up in his own memories of why here had been no time to fly for fun.]

Yes. Yes we should. Do you reckon we could spell them ourselves?

Think so, might just take a lot of experimenting. I mean, I know most of the spells, I got my love here to fly all by myself, after all.

But between us and Remus, we could even play some quidditch.

[He couldn't help chuckling.] It's good to know you still have your priorities straight. But yes, Quidditch games would be fun. There isn't any decent entertainment to be found in this city... unless you count the occasional monster attacks. I'd help with the brooms, though it's not my area of expertise. I'm more suited to cursing them attack anyone who tries to steal them.
