G'day, Ruby City! It's time for a meme for both testdrivers and denizens.

Been itching to test out some CR but haven't had the posts to do it? Thinking of apping a character but not sure they'll fit in the city walls?

Have no fear, a meme for you is here.

Directions:

• Post with your character with their name and canon on top!


• Choose a location and prompt or wait for someone else to tag.


• If you'd like, leave contact info for people to get in contact for plotting and other such shenans.

1. Train Station: New arrival, or waiting to welcome people? Either way, the train comes in, but you still can't ride it out.


2. Cathedral: Looking for redemption? Just doing a little sight-seeing? Or just getting a little shelter?


3. The Clocktower: You can see the whole city from here!


4. The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.


5. The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.


6. The Coffee Joint: Run by Lukas, a lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.


7. Le Cafe Anglais: A Parisian-British fusion that's as charming as it sounds and serves the best tea around.

Scenarios

1. Just walked in: You intended to get here, and you made your way in; but now someone's caught your eye and you'd like to have a chat.


2. Been here all day: You've been sitting around minding the time. Maybe you didn't notice them at first or maybe you were just working up the courage to talk-- either way, they know you're here and you know it too.


3. Inclement weather: You're here because you've gotten rained in. This wasn't your choice, but at least it's dry-- right?


4. Wild card: Got something better in mind? Well screw these prompts, try it out yourself!

Joan of Arc | Afterschool Charisma

#1 - Just walked in
[Stepping off the train, Joan simply stands outside of it's doors in a blind daze. A moment later and she turns on her heels to blink widely in surprise at the train doors behind her.

When had she gotten on the train in the first place? Remembering was difficult and even picking out the details of the train ride was sketchy at best.

Pressing a hand against her forehead, her brow creases in concentration. What had been the last thing she recalled? Escaping with the other Joan? The fire? Yes, that was it, the fire. But then...

How was she even alive?]


#5 - Been here all day/Inclement weather
[One could say for Joan's thirst for the written word was to make up for her original's lack of literacy. Not that Joan herself thought of it in such a manner. She simply enjoy whatever she could get her hands on and took great pleasure in long days at the library.

Like today. It's absolutely pouring outside and with a comfortable corner to herself, Joan isn't exactly encouraged to go outside just yet. Folks will find her at varying times browsing the shelves or near the front of the library, maybe even contemplating a dash outside.]

[ Chouza has always liked books himself, and he goes to the library at least three times a week, sometimes more. Today he's stuck inside it (not that he hates it or not that he dislikes rain) and is just returning a book to the shelf, seeing as he's finished reading it. Seems it was supposed to be standing somewhere close to where she's browsing books. ]

[And it's just in time too to clash. Though it's not really so much clashing as bumping arms. Joan is reaching for one end of the shelf, Chouza for the other.

Contact is made and Joan draws back in the same moment, faintly surprised.]

... Forgive me.

[ He blinks behind his bangs, and squints due to the view being obscured by his hair.

Then he shakes his head. ]

No, it's fine. Sorry.

[She doesn't want to appear to be eyeing the fellow so she responds with a light nod, continuing to reach for the book she wanted. It's a bit of French literature, though the cover is plain and nondescript.]

Were you reaching for something else as well?

[ What does that even say, on her book? It made no sense. ]

Yeah, but I don't really know what to read, since nothing resembles anything from my world.

Now would be a good time to branch out then and try other forms of literature.
