G'day, Ruby City! It's time for a meme for both testdrivers and denizens.

Been itching to test out some CR but haven't had the posts to do it? Thinking of apping a character but not sure they'll fit in the city walls?

Have no fear, a meme for you is here.

Directions:

1. Train Station: New arrival, or waiting to welcome people? Either way, the train comes in, but you still can't ride it out.


2. Cathedral: Looking for redemption? Just doing a little sight-seeing? Or just getting a little shelter?


3. The Clocktower: You can see the whole city from here!


4. The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.


5. The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.


6. The Coffee Joint: Run by Lukas, a lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.


7. Le Cafe Anglais: A Parisian-British fusion that's as charming as it sounds and serves the best tea around.

Scenarios

1. Just walked in: You intended to get here, and you made your way in; but now someone's caught your eye and you'd like to have a chat.


2. Been here all day: You've been sitting around minding the time. Maybe you didn't notice them at first or maybe you were just working up the courage to talk-- either way, they know you're here and you know it too.


3. Inclement weather: You're here because you've gotten rained in. This wasn't your choice, but at least it's dry-- right?


4. Wild card: Got something better in mind? Well screw these prompts, try it out yourself!

A. In a park: [ Suddenly in a different city? Panicking? NAH. It's more that he's very. Very annoyed. Thankfully he's matured enough (or more that he's mellowed out in the past year of having no powers before) to realize that he can tend to be violent or unnecessarily mean when annoyed. So what does he do to burn off some steam? Exercise. In this case, in the form of soccer. He's not half bad at it. In fact, he's very good.

Except he's playing by himself like the loser he is by kicking it repeatedly into a tree, having it bounce back to him, and then kicking it again. At one point a flicker of a thought-- a distraction-- will pass through his mind, and his trajetory and force of a particular kick will be off. The soccer ball will miss the tree and either

a) fall somewhere beside you,
b) smack you right in the face (and it's going to hurt), or
c) you're deft enough to catch it.

Either way, have a tall teen who can easily be mistaken for a punk calling over. ] Oi. Mind kicking that back?

B. ANYWHERE [ Looks like if you wander too much you encounter monsters. You know what that means for a Class A shonen protag? POWER UP. Hey, if you had all that energy to spare, you would too. So he slips out of his human body and into his shinigami form.

This means a couple things. 1) Damn that obnoxious aura can probably be felt across the universe. 2) This form can only be seen by those who are supernaturally inclined. 3) His very alive, very human body is still lying cold on the ground while he's playing whack-a-monster. Whoops. Hopefully no creature will notice that, but knowing his luck... yeah. No. Something's bound to get to it. ]

[The riverbank is pretty muddy from last night's rainstorm, so naturally Chie's sought out a new place to do her training. The park seems nice and wide open, so that's where she goes. She stretches her legs from side to side, hops up onto her feet, and huffs out a breath. All right! Roundhouse kicks first!]

Wu-TAH!

[A few hundred of these and...oh, hey, a soccer ball. Chie pauses, poised on one leg as it rolls to a stop against her foot. She glances up at the call. Kick it back? She can do that!]

Sure!

[WHAM.]

And catching that ball before it hits anything else. ] A...aa. Thanks.


That's a mean kick you got.

[She looks proudly at her upraised leg, and gives it a light back-and-forth shake before planting her foot squarely on the ground again.]

[ He rubs the back of his neck. ] Not sure just what to make of this place yet.

[Because he introduced himself last name first! She wasn't sure, what with his orange hair and all.]

Satonaka Chie. Yeah, it does take some getting used to, doesn't it? I guess I'm lucky, having a person here I knew already. Made it a lot easier. What about you, anyone around you're familiar with?
