7. Le Cafe Anglais: A Parisian-British fusion that's as charming as it sounds and serves the best tea around.

Streets - Scenario 2

[Hans wasn't one to ask around, really. It hadn't been too difficult to figure out. He was dead and now he wasn't, he'd been delivered via train, and he was far from the only being taken here against their will. Easy enough to accept.

The question was, where to go from here? He's been doing nothing but standing around by one of the street lights, watching the bustle of the residents as they went about their daily lives as he figured out his next step. Of course, given that he was bare-topped, with heavily burned and tattered pants, perhaps a change of clothes was first on the list.]

[As much as he weighed, the ghost of war moved quietly. He was already sitting by on a bench near the Captain, taking a bite from a burger in his hand. It was cheap food, but food was food.]

[This place is strange. Which goes without saying, really - it's felt like some kind of Gate-based delusion ever since she came to herself on the train. The town is eerie in its pleasantness and the library even more so in the absence of anything about the place itself. The surroundings are beautiful. The architecture distinctly European. She feels like a tourist in a bizarre dream.

But the tea isn't bad. Not like her favorite tea houses back home, but all right.]

[Had he not been so lost in thought, he might have picked up his scent already. This was another unforeseen surprise. He walked up to his old leader, giving him a courteous salute. He pointed to his device before typing into it.]

[Rip had been out and about that day running errands while safely hiding under her umbrella. One of those errands took her near the entrance of the train station just as he stepped through the gate.

It took a minute to register who it was as they came to stand by a street light and once she did, a large happy grin graced her lips. Rip took off running, though careful to keep the umbrella covering her and didn't stop until she collided with a certain half naked werewolf and and was hugging him as she giggled. Can you tell she's happy to see you?]

Captain! You are back~.

[He cocked his head to the side slightly, a bit confused by her statement.]

[ She simply smiles kindly at poor Ruby, assuming that the girl is simply nervous about the whole... BEING KIDNAPPED thing. She can't blame her, of course -- she's just as nervous. ]

What a lovely name! I must admit, something about you very much reminds me of my younger sister, Maria.

[ ...Okay, most EVERYTHING about Ruby reminds her of Maria for some reason. But that's beside the point. ]

Team RWBY? Might I ask what all of that is, then? If you do not mind my asking, of course.

[She keeps forgetting, this isn't Vale, and nobody has heard of Beacon or Huntresses or anything. Kinda boring, really. Still, that doesn't deter her.]

Oh, it's just something Beacon does. We're Huntresses in training, and we're divided into teams of four, and the team name is made up of the members' names. There's me, my friends Weiss Schnee and Blake Beladonna, and my sister, Yang Xiao Long.

[It's pouring rain when Karla first arrives. As if being pushed by an unseen force, she runs from the train that brought her here, running for the first public shelter she can find. That place happens to be the Cathedral. She quickly ducks inside, but stops just in front of the door, dripping wet and gasping to catch her breath.]

Clocktower:

[Karla admires the view from the top of the tower, but it also depresses her. She misses home, and she misses her brother even more. Feel free to keep her company and/or cheer her up?]

I see! Yes, you are most certainly like my little sister! She is a huntress as well, although I've a feeling that you hunt things very different than that of the things my Maria hunts.

[ Well, she sounds excited, at least. She can see herself getting along extremely well with poor Ruby. ]

[Ruby just beams. At the mention of reminding Annette of her sister, Ruby stops to really take a good look at Annette. ...Yeah, she definitely has a figure that would rival Yang's even, once Yang was a bit older. ...Though Yang would likely never be caught dead in something so... modest.]

We hunt what's called the Creatures of Grimm. Y'know, Beowolves, Ursa, Deathstalkers, and Nevermores. Stuff like that.

I must admit, I've never heard of such creatures. Are they anything like vampires and werewolves?

[ Whatever they are, they sound... not good. It takes everything she has not to shudder at the thought of such a young girl having to go out and hunt, but... it's the way of the world, it would seem. ]

[Ruby just cocks her head, confused. What are these 'werewolves' and 'vampires' she speaks of?]

I... dunno about that... Uh... Beowolves are like half wolf, half man. I once took out an entire pack all by myself a year back or so!

[Karla's waiting by the train station, hoping to take the next train out. She doesn't know why she got off here to begin with, but since there's no sign of her brother, there's no reason to stay.]

[However, not only can she not bring herself to board the arriving train, but the person disembarking catches her attention. Now there was a manner of dress she didn't see everyday. Her eyes are just transfixed on the person as she tries not to giggle.]

[ ...So naturally this means that poor Ruby is going to become her adopted little sister. As a matter of fact, in Annette's mind, that's already a thing.

[There's another man standing not too very far away from the doorway of the Cathedral. One thing they share in common is the fact they're both quite soaked through.

Violet eyes observe her for a moment before the man seemingly dismisses her as unimportant, resuming his study of the building about them once more.]

Might I ask what you were running from?

[It might just simply be the rain, but there's always a chance isn't there that the answer might not be the obvious and perhaps, just might be more interesting than this old building.]

[Considering that Yang was always the protective big sister in the family, she's kind of used to being a little sister. So, no worries there.]

Well if that's the case, then have no fear! I can handle any kind of monster or Grimm or anything that comes our way with the help of Crescent Rose~!

Ah, yes... I fear that I am a little useless when it comes to handling monsters. God did not grace me with the skills or power that he gave the rest of my family, I am afraid. My husband attempted to teach me once... it did not end well.

[ The memory has her cheeks flushing with embarrassment, but she smiles anyways, tilting her head slightly. ]

Who is Crescent Rose?

[ She obviously has no idea that Crescent Rose isn't a 'who' but a 'what'. ]

Oh, trust me, I know how that feels. I was a complete klutz before my uncle Qrow took me in and spent the better part of three years training me non-stop.

[At the question, though, she beams as she reaches back to her hip, pulls the large lump of metal from its place, and just spins it casually in her hand as it begins to unfold into the massive High Velocity Sniper Scythe that is Crescent Rose. Once in its full form, she allows the weight of the blade to take over and sends the tip of the blade digging a gash into the ground.]

Meet Crescent Rose. My pride and joy.

I... tend to get in the way more than help, so my husband and sister more often than not leave me home.

[ Her job is to be sister, house wife, and someday mother -- nothing more, nothing less, and she is happy with that.

The look on her face must be priceless for a split second. Crescent Rose... sure looks like a giant fucking Death Scythe. She blinks and then tilts her head, examining the weapon in question. ]

I see! Did you make it yourself?

[She nods, hefting the weapon out of the ground and over her shoulder with ease.]

Yup. Designed and built her myself. Uncle Qrow helped forging the metal plates and all, but otherwise, it was all me.
