[Isemi doesn't exactly like being in the hospital with the researchers, but he misses Perseus, and he knows it's unsafe for him to be out like this, in his condition.

When he asks his question, Isemi hesitates. He's not sure why anyone would want to look at him, but then again, the researchers do, all the time. He's more concerned for the other man's sake--not wanting to upset him--than for his own, even though it is strange.]

All right.

[What's left of his body is a wasted wreck, and then there's the living beast he was hybridized with, malignant and monstrous, coiled around what remains of him, pulsing faintly with malevolent life.]

[He will soon find the familiar scent of cigar smoke awaiting him at the terminal. Oftentimes, Integra would lurk about the station, 'assisting' whatever stragglers found their way into the city... in her own way. Tonight was no different.

It is when she spots her Servant, however, she stops dead in her tracks. Despite knowing the nature of this city, she couldn't help but to find it strange. Alucard had disappeared in her world. Now, she was to be reunited with him here?

[ when he lifts up the sheet and sees what monstrosity the boy has under there, his reaction is probably not what Isemi was expecting. instead of looking appropriately grossed out, or scandalized, or nauseous -- Tyki smiles, and for a brief moment the expression in his eyes glints with insanity.

but then it turns fond -- like it's much difference, when faced with that -- and he sets the sheet gently back down. ]

[ don't mind the woman dripping water all over the floor. no, really, as she doesn't seem to mind, either, too busy as it is looking over her surroundings with wide-eyed wonder. she will run her fingers over the tables, peer over the booth seats, look up at the ceiling.. like this is a strange new world to her, far beyond her time.

also do not mind the way she wanders behind the counter to look at the stuff there, either. unless of course you work there, or happen to be a customer, at which point she will also look at you curiously, maybe even poke at you with a finger. ]

of all times to remember these particular words of his tutor, banging his head on one of the many low shelves in an unfamiliar city was perhaps the most apt. the last time he bumped his head was during a rash moment in training as a young teenager, and then, too, had he learned something while wiping blood from his brow: plot every move in life as if it were your last or it will be. arriving in the city was...unexpected to say the least with no summoning and no master awaiting him after stepping off the train. he needed information on this place. that was the key to survival for iskander did not steal vcitory.

and it certainly wouldn't hurt to get lost in a book for a while.

he makes his way over to one of the tables by large windows overlooking a cloudy sky with three books in hand.]

[ the library isn't one of Madoka's most frequented places, but she comes here every once in a while. sometimes, it's nice to read something. and well, sometimes, it's just nice to pop over and see Waver too, and make sure he hasn't got so lost inside whatever it is he's doing that he's forgetting to take care of himself.

it just so happens that she's making her way over to the very same table as the man who towers so far over her that it's comical. she stops short, looking up (and up, and up), and hastily making an apology. ]

Ah-- I'm sorry, did you want this table?

[Isemi isn't sure what to make of that reaction. He doesn't have a lot of experience with people, not that he can remember. He's only used to the dispassion of the researchers and, more recently, Perseus' kindness. He is glad that he hasn't upset the man, so that's good!]

I'm not brave.

[He's not a hero, like Perseus.]

Sometimes things happen that we don't like, but to get upset about them would only make them worse. So, I'll be happy instead of sad, because I can choose to be.

[Waver lives above the library. He's considered it a good home for some time now. There's quiet here, he can observe people without too much notice, and it is - save for the Grail War destroying the damn place - safe.

It is also apparently now housing Rider, he notes, walking through the stacks.

Wait.

There's no mistaking who that is. It isn't even impossible - enough servants had returned from various points in the Grail War, and he'd be a liar to say he hadn't hoped Rider might turn up. But this is reality.

Acknowledging that there's no good way to say hello after a gap of twenty years between them, he walks over to Rider's table, glancing briefly at the books.]

I think that's true, because I met a person once who died before, but their soul came back.
