NOV. TEST DRIVE

G'day, Ruby City!
Thinking of apping a character but not sure they'll fit in the city walls?
Have no fear, a meme for you is here.
Directions:
- Post with your character with their name and canon on top!
- Choose a location and prompt or wait for someone else to tag.
- If you'd like, leave contact info for people to get in contact for plotting and other such shenans.
- Tag around! Make friends. Don't be afraid to chat OOC while tagging.
Locations:
- Train Station: New arrival, or waiting to welcome people? Either way, the train comes in, but you still can't ride it out.
- Cathedral: Looking for redemption? Just doing a little sight-seeing? Or just getting a little shelter?
- The Clocktower: You can see the whole city from here!
- The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.
- The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.
- The Coffee Joint: A lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.
- Le Cafe Anglais: A Parisian-British fusion that's as charming as it sounds and serves the best tea around.
Scenarios
- Just walked in: You intended to get here, and you made your way in; but now someone's caught your eye and you'd like to have a chat.
- Been here all day: You've been sitting around minding the time. Maybe you didn't notice them at first or maybe you were just working up the courage to talk-- either way, they know you're here and you know it too.
- Bad weather: You're here because you've gotten rained in. This wasn't your choice, but at least it's dry-- right?
- Wild card: Got something better in mind? Well screw these prompts, try it out yourself!
Have fun, guys!
Isabela | Dragon Age II | {Unreserved}
[There were many ways in which Isabela could have reacted upon stumbling out of some rather terrifying and mechanical transportive whatsit - train, she remembers vaguely - but neither option had really garnered much of her attention. Oh, she'd been worried, rightly so, really, but had only assumed that this could only have been the result of something magic-related. It wouldn't have surprised her, really, given the current (previous? she's not quite sure) situation she and her companions find themselves in. Perhaps Anders and Hawke had magicked up a way to escape? Perhaps Merrill, precious kitten that she is, had yet another cursed trinket up her sleeve that had sent them spiraling into another dimension.
Whatever the cause, whatever the reason for her predicament, there's little use or time for panic and mind-numbing worry. She'd concluded early on that the best thing she could do with both her time and energy would be to run a bit of...reconnaissance, just in case Hawke and the others happen to show up later. Visiting the Clocktower could have been a much more viable option for the rogue pirate to get a better understanding of her understandings, but Isabela finds that getting down to the nitty-gritty in order to scoop up information and gossip always works best.
And, by Andraste's buxom bosom, she'd been lucky enough to wander right into a tavern of sorts. Flesh and drink, skin and alcohol that didn't taste like piss water.
Isabela grins, leaning back against the wooden chair as she raises her eyes over the rim of her beer mug.]
Well hello, darling. I don't suppose you have a bit of coin to spare for this drink?
[ooc: I completely missed this and posted in the older meme, so please excuse the double posting for both Isabela and Makoto. How embarrassing, hhhhhh.]
I am not missing a chance to tag you.
Clearing her throat, she finished the sip she had forgotten about momentarily, then set her mug down. Where did she come from and why did she choose her table in particular? Leaning forward, she rest her chin in her hand, looking the woman up and down, trying to get a grip on the "details."
Her voice broke some from surprise before she managed to catch it again, her accent stronger as she spoke.]
Coin isn't really common around here, love. Everythin's free unless you want t'barter your business.
I am incredibly flattered, ohohoho.
Better to play it safe than to find herself flirting with death. Literally.
At least, Isabela knows she should play it safe. She's almost positive that that's something Hawke and Aveline would, in fact, encourage her to do. But that doesn't sound very fun at all, now that she thinks about it. How dull.]
Barter, you say?
[Isabela's smile turns absolutely wicked.] I do hope that means something tantalizing here because I'd hate to be disappointed. [She raises her mug for another swig of her drink.]
I can't tell you how long I've wanted an Isabela to interact with Fang.
[Etro, YES. Finally someone else had the tact that she had so longed to interact with. While she was also a flirtatious woman, she had to tone it down because she knew it would make people uncomfortable, yet here she was. Another queen of well placed words and a tongue of silver. She smiles more, the grin starting at one corner, then spreading as she lowers her eyes to the table momentarily. She lets out a huff of a chuckle before running a hand through her mane of hair. As she leans back, she tilts her chin, watching her carefully.]
Whatever your trade is, I'm sure there are some in the city who'd be...[Her eyes scale the woman entirely now.] Interested.
[Now, Now, Fang. Remember where your loyalties lie. She clears her throat and leans forward again, linking her fingers together in thought as she continues.] But really, love. Welcome to the big city. If you have any questions about this place, I'm more than happy to answer them. I'm sure it's kind of jarring bein' where you aren't used to bein'. I know I was the first time I stepped off that train.
