Since I've been in hiatus for such a long time, let's pretend Dave went out into the wilderness on an epic adventure that no one in the city will get deets about. Basically, there was some monster-slaying, carving out SB&HJ comics on trees, and definitely some thinking.

For those who care, Dave was nowhere to be found. His studio door, if you decided to visit, was locked and every message that was sent to his communicator went unanswered

For those who don't care, WOW IT SURE IS SO CHILL TO NOT HAVE DAVE AROUND. GOD, DAVE WAS SUCH AN ANNOYING LITTLE PRICK.

Sollux wouldn't go looking for him since the only contact he's had with dave was see him through trollian when he and Terezi first found him through the cash transfer, and from there on, he's shown to be pretty stubborn about never talking to the kids ever (until shenanigans happen).
This can lead to the most embarassing situations, i can't wait >:3c
