G'day, Ruby City!

Thinking of apping a character but not sure they'll fit in the city walls?

Have no fear, a meme for you is here.

Directions:

1. Train Station: New arrival, or waiting to welcome people? Either way, the train comes in, but you still can't ride it out.


2. Cathedral: Looking for redemption? Just doing a little sight-seeing? Or just getting a little shelter?


3. The Clocktower: You can see the whole city from here!


4. The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.


5. The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.


6. The Coffee Joint: A lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.


7. Le Cafe Anglais: A Parisian-British fusion that's as charming as it sounds and serves the best tea around.

Scenarios

1. Just walked in: You intended to get here, and you made your way in; but now someone's caught your eye and you'd like to have a chat.


2. Been here all day: You've been sitting around minding the time. Maybe you didn't notice them at first or maybe you were just working up the courage to talk-- either way, they know you're here and you know it too.


3. Bad weather: You're here because you've gotten rained in. This wasn't your choice, but at least it's dry-- right?


4. Wild card: Got something better in mind? Well screw these prompts, try it out yourself!

[ In many ways, the library was large. It had tall shelves and taller ceilings, rows upon rows of books in various shapes and lengths; the entire thing was something of a spectacle, really- a bit unreal for some. Unfortunately, the library was not overly large in some important aspects; after all, when you're 6'9" and have shoulders broader than most, it can be- difficult to maneuver in those tight spaces between rows.

You'll hear some light grunting and some angry mutters as Noa attempts to get to a book on the bottom row, slightly muffled by the bandana covering the lower half of his face. Bending over was impossible for him at this angle (he'd knock over the shelves or something), so he's kind of awkwardly tilting to try and grasp at the book with his singular hand. Behind him, his tail swishes, unamused with all of this.

All he wanted to do was read The Tempest. That's all he wanted. Too bad this library wasn't built for werecats, jeez. ]

[Revmir himself was searching for atlases, to see if he could figure out where this Ruby City was. It looks like a Western European city, but he's not entirely sure if he's even in Europe now. He heard the mutters and grunts and started to investigate, being shockingly quiet for a man of his built]

[ Noa visibly jumps, turning his head to give the man a surprised and sheepish look. Well this wasn't exactly dignified. ]

You could say that. A bit cruel of fate to put the book I'd like in the narrowest row.

[The Russian nodded, and looked at the rows of books - his nostrils flared as he picked up an odd scent, but he's been picking up strange scents since waking up in the train station]

What book is it? Maybe I help?

[ Something smelled distinctly like...dog. Hm. Well that was vaguely concerning. ]

I'd appreciate that, actually. It's on the bottom row- The Tempest. By William Shakespeare- you probably know that. Not really sure there is another Tempest, to be quite honest.

Yes - I know of him. One of few Western playwright taught in schools.

One of the many, where I come from. Hard to come by one who isn't, actually...

[ And that was something of a problem. But regardless, he did like Shakespeare. Man had a way with words.
