What kind of institution do you work at, if you don't mind my asking?

Public Library, specifically Queensboro Public Library in NY. I take pride in it because we're a good system, even if I'm at one of the more...difficult branches. Had to deal with a whole bunch of kids this evening trying to act "thug"...cept you're in the library...and you think comparing me to Yoda is an insult

Man, I spend the majority of my free time pretending to be a headless woman, a catgirl with a spear, or any other number of characters. I KNOW I'm a dork, and I have a lot more friends because of it than they know.

And well, now I feel obliged: I'm the head GM of Anime Next LARP (Somerset, NJ), and we just opened our prereg for anext larp 2014 last night. Would you like our info and/or facebook group?

I always feel like for better or for worse it's a good thing I'm not in public, I genuinely don't have the patience to deal with folks like that in a public setting.

I'm aware of AN, I actually live in the county, but unfortunately money is a huge issue at the moment since student loans and cons are out of the question for the time being. But thank you!

As for public libraries, I like helping people, even though I sometimes need to deal with The Public.

Yes, and the Public is a multi-headed beast. I'm...slightly more confident with something that's centuries older than I am.
