CR/Plotting/Handwaving Meme~
Time for another of these! You all know what to do by now, and we all love some good CR, don't we? You can either ask for/offer CR you'd like to play out... Or you can discuss what may or may not already have happened!
INSTRUCTIONS
♥ Post with your characters, one per comment or a catch-all. If you have any CR in particular you'd like to rally, mention it here!
♣ Go around to other characters and discuss ways your characters may have interacted in handwaved settings. This could be casual meetings at the pub, patrols they may have gone on together, hikes and explorations, or just whatever strikes your fancy!
♦ Come up with some backstory for friendships that might not have gotten played out as fully as you'd have liked. These guys are trapped on a floating island together, 24/7... You know they bump into each other! New CR is highly encouraged - you never know what might happen.

CHARACTER(S): Rude
CURRENTLY: Currently Rude is trying to work through a couple of things. In the short term, he's trying to deal with his feelings regarding the Elena situation and everything going on there. That will settle in time but in the meantime he's a little more broody than he normally is. In the longer-term, he wants to try and find more of a purpose for himself because being a Turk isn't enough here and he doesn't really know what to do with himself. Other than make explosives because Tseng told him to, and he might end up branching out into trying to make fireworks because they're just explosives with more flashy and less destruction.
His regular haunts tend to be the training areas (gotta keep on top of that physical strength), the library and anywhere with booze. He's also spending a lot more time out and about in general, so can probably be found in a few other places too.
CR YOU'D LIKE: All sorts! He seems to have adopted a few of the teenagers around the city and I'm game for him acting as mentor/reliable adult figure for a few more - he's lacking in anywhere to focus his energies and this is one of the ways it appears to be manifesting. Becoming inadvertent mentor to someone is also a possibility so he can just ... at the whole thing. He also needs more friends his own age, people he can drink with or do useful things with, maybe people he can bond with over having No Real Purpose anymore. Or people who might be able to help him find a purpose (especially now Tseng has been putting Urban Development ideas in his head).
On the flipside, now is probably one of the better periods of getting negative CR with Rude because not only does he still look like a thug who doesn't express much, he's a lot more growly at the moment than he normally is. He's still not going to lash out unprovoked and still won't hit women or kids at all but scaring someone, accidentally or not, is a possibility.
But really, any and all kinds are welcome, pretty much.
CR YOU WOULD NOT LIKE: Right now I'd prefer to avoid anything that's going to see Rude caught up in any more drama or trauma or anything along those lines. He's had that pretty much non-stop since he arrived and it's already starting to wear, plus with the current fallout and the mimic event coming up he could really use a break from that side of things. Other than that, though, I'm pretty much open.
ANYTHING ELSE? People are still welcome to tag into his open log if they would like to. Or we can set up new things.
Also of note: I will always do my best to give as much to work with as possible but please keep in mind Rude is generally quite reticent and isn't particularly good at talking to people, especially those he doesn't know. He isn't likely to come out with many words at a time. This doesn't mean I'm uninterested in the thread, it means Rude is mostly all about gestures and unspoken things and lives very much in his own head.
