May Test Drive

Thinking of apping a character but not sure they'll fit in the city walls?
Have no fear, a meme for you is here.
Directions:
Locations:
1. Train Station: New arrival, or waiting to welcome people? Either way, the train comes in, but you still can't ride it out.
2. Cathedral: Looking for redemption? Just doing a little sight-seeing? Or just getting a little shelter?
3. The Clocktower: You can see the whole city from here!
4. The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.
5. The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.
6. The Coffee Joint: A lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.
7. Le Cafe Anglais: A Parisian-British fusion that's as charming as it sounds and serves the best tea around.
Scenarios
1. Just walked in: You intended to get here, and you made your way in; but now someone's caught your eye and you'd like to have a chat.
2. Been here all day: You've been sitting around minding the time. Maybe you didn't notice them at first or maybe you were just working up the courage to talk-- either way, they know you're here and you know it too.
3. Bad weather: You're here because you've gotten rained in. This wasn't your choice, but at least it's dry-- right?
4. Wild card: Got something better in mind? Well screw these prompts, try it out yourself!
Have fun, guys!
amy pond → doctor who
Okay, this was definitely most certainly not where she was meant to be, that's for sure. It's not New York and she was meant to show up in the right same spot as Rory, right?
Right?
She vaguely remembers the train ride, the emptiness of it, how it felt like being stuck in the darker corners of the TARDIS. But now-
Now she was in a city that was most certainly not New York with a whole lot of other people who seemed to be new arrivals just like her. It was too much to hope that she might see a familiar face, that Rory might have been there, too.
But she knew well enough that nothing would get done just from standing around! If she had learned anything in the last few years, it was that waiting for something to happen never seemed to be a good idea.
That in mind, Amy weaved through the other people in the station and out onto the street. Because really, really, what could it hurt, exploring just a little? ]

He was of half a mind to just get back on that blasted train and find someone who would take him back to somewhere that made sense. Preferably his actual home, but anywhere remotely close to that would've been alright with him.
But he forgot all about going back to the train and talking the ear off someone when he spotted a familiar redhead walking about, weaving her way in and around the people who were also milling around. ]
Amy?
[ He couldn't help but call out to her, because what in the world was she doing there? ]
quietly screams
Until now.
Amy turns, slowly, because what if it isn't him, what if someone else recognizes her-
But it is. It's Rory and she can see him through the crowd and Amy takes no time in weaving her way back through the crowd and straight into his chest, her arms around him straight away. Because for a moment, for the briefest moment, she thought the Angel had sent her to the wrong place. ]
I've never been so glad to see you.
hahah, that's a good scream, I hope
Not that he minds, because well, it's Amy, and that's all the reason he really needs.
Except, there's one thing about this that worries him, though he won't say that just yet. Hugs first, and then maybe explanations. ]
Amy, I- I'm glad to see you too. And, well, you don't know what's going on, do you?
[ Please say yes, because right now, he's a bit confused and things are simply not adding up as they should. ]
super good!!!!
No, I thought that you might. This isn't New York and I thought it would be, isn't that how it works with those statues?
[ Because really, that's the last thing she remembers. Can remember the way the Doctor begged her not to, the sound of his voice, how River looked, and her own desperation to make sure that she could stay with Rory. ]
excellent! and sorry, I'm slow
Well, I thought so, but I've been looking around, and this is clearly not New York. I was about to try getting back on the train when you turned up.
[ Part of him wants to try, although really, what would they be going back to if they did? ]
don't be sorry! I'm clearly slow, too.
Amy purses her lips, considering. ]
I don't know if we can.
no subject
[ Only, what will they be going back to, if they do? At worst, they'll be dead, and at best, they'll be trapped in that different version of New York. Maybe staying here is the better option. ]
I'll say it again. SO. HAPPY.
The spot of red. Flaming red hair. His feet lead him into the direction of the woman with that hair without him really wanting them to. He doesn't dare hope but then he is close enough and he sees. Sees that it's her.
Amy.]
Amy!
[He cries out for her before his mind fully registers what he's doing, his steps already flying over the pavement before he finally engulfs her in a hug.]
Amy ... Amy. You are here. You are here.
AAAAAA I'M SO GLAD
Amy can feel her throat tighten the way his arms do, her own frozen, hovering near him but not circling. She just said goodbye to him, she thought it would mean forever, that she would never see her best friend ever again. And it hurt so terribly, to make the choice between Rory and the Doctor, but it was one she had to make.
Except now-
Her breath stutters on her inhale, swallowing back her tears and the inevitable crack in her voice. It's only then that her arms latch around him, tight as can be. ]
I thought- Is it really you?
no subject
Amelia Pond, I ... I thought I'd never see you again.
[His voice is a whisper into her ear, as he keeps holding her, holding on for dear life, afraid she'll disappear again as soon as he loses contact.
Capturing her face between his hands, he puts a kiss to her brow, happy just being able to do this again and smiles at her.]
Of course, it's me. Same old me. Who else would I be?
no subject
[ The crying is from the happiness, the relief, because she had just said goodbye to him. Had thought that it meant forever. And yet here he was, just as he'd always been.
She laughs at the kiss, reaches up to brush a sleeve over her eyes before anything can actually manage to fall from them. ]

[He shakes his head, trying to clear it, trying to focus, since he needs to tell her what she needs to know. He doesn't want to lie to her, not even to protect her feelings. It's just not fair and he has made that mistake far too often already.]
It was goodbye, Amy. You will ... you won't see me again. Not in the world we come from. I'm sorry.
But ... well, we are here now. Both of us. [He smiles at her, weakly but it's there.] I have no idea how long that'll last, nobody does but ... we have been kidnapped and are stuck here.

There was a spot of red caught just out of the corner of her eye, prompting River to turn just in time to spot Amy as she exited the station.
She looked just like the last time she saw her... River smiled before approaching.]
Hello Amy.
no subject
There's no hesitation when Amy runs for her, wraps River up in her arms and hugs her tighter than she should. It isn't just the relief of seeing a familiar face, it's seeing this familiar face. ]
Melody.
no subject
And there was definitely no need to ask Amy if she knew who River was. That one name let her know everything she needed to known.]
It's good to see you again Mother.
no subject
But visiting the train station is easy enough, and so it's perhaps not much of a surprise that he offers a nod to Amy. He won't ask if she's just arrived, since that much is fairly obvious, but if nothing else it's a relatively friendly gesture and maybe that's a decent start.]
no subject
Familiar, yet not at all. She doesn't recognize his face, wouldn't know his name if she was asked, but there's a sense of knowing when she sees him. She'll later blame that sense of familiarity as to why she approaches him; curiosity gets the best of Amelia Pond, no matter the circumstances. ]
Hello. [ Straight to the point, then. ] Have we met before?
no subject
I don't think so, no. And I'd like to think I'd remember that sort of thing.
no subject
Finally, someone does come out, and while she may be a certain reptilian friend, she does look like she could use a welcome wagon.
Charley approaches the woman with a smile, eyeing her curiously.]
Hello! I take it you just came off the train?
