4. The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.

5. The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.

6. The Coffee Joint: A lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.

7. Le Cafe Anglais: A Parisian-British fusion that's as charming as it sounds and serves the best tea around.

[As often is the case, Steve saw the train pull into the station and turned his feet towards it. He doesn't welcome everyone to the city, but he does like to keep an eye on who's arrived.

When he sees the man stepping off the train, though, he's really glad he came this time.]

Doctor Banner. [He's almost cheerful in his tone as he walks down the platform before the other man, wearing his uniform, though the cowl isn't covering his face.]

...Captain?

[ Well, this was... different. He wanders, brows still furrowed, in Steve's general direction. He stops just short of him. Then he looks back at the now-departing train, and then back to Steve. ]

Did I --

Did I miss something?

Yeah, you did. Glad I caught you before you got too far. [He holds out his hand to shake as he reaches the other man] I've been here about a month, now. We've been kidnapped and transported into another universe.

What's the last thing that happened before you came here?

I... was on the train to Calcutta.

[ Or was he? ]

I was coming back from the states. I saw Tony.

Calcutta. So about the same timeframe as me. [Steve nods, and he rubs the back of his neck.] People get drawn from different times, different places. There are people from our version of Earth, and other versions, too. And other planets, also.

...Did you see Tony? After he got the -- you know. Terrible Burden excised?[ He's happy for Tony, really. But it's... also a little weird. ] That'll tell me for sure. If we're in the same temporal zone.

[Steve's glad that Bruce seems to immediately grasp what's going on. He even has special words for it. He's going to have to make sure to introduce him to Jane soon.

Steve shakes his head, arching an eyebrow questioningly]

No, I didn't. Uh, what do you mean? What did he do?

The reactor. It's gone. He took it out. Blew the suits, going back to...being Tony Stark, slightly more conventional hero.

[ So, teensy time discrepancy discovered. ]

[Steve's eyes widened]

He hung up his spurs? After all that? I thought that thing in his chest was keeping him alive.

Isn't now.

[ Bruce is happy for him, really. But sad, too. The camraderie meant a lot to him. But he knows his friendship with Tony isn't going to go away. It'll just... change.]

Oh... [So now Tony really is just a genius playboy millionaire philanthropist or whatever.] Well, good for him.

Yeah. He's... happier now.

[ Not sure what'll happen for him now but... he is happier, and that's the important thing. ]

That's good. [Steve smiles and then gestures towards the exit] Can I show you around? I'm still trying to figure out how to get us all out of here, and I'd appreciate your insight.

[Steve glances at him, and he honestly looks embarrassed]

I...haven't been able to figure out how. I've got a team together, and we're working hard, but we're not making much progress.

[He draws a breath and turns away, lengthening his stride and heading for the exit] No matter how long it takes, I'm not giving up. I'm glad you're here, Banner. With your brain and your, uh, talents, we can't help but bust this thing open.

Always a team.

[ Bruce is never sure how to feel about that. ]
