Damian's over-confidence frequently gets the better of him. He enjoys rubbing in the humiliation of getting one's ass kicked by a ten-year-old whenever possible pffft.
It helps that Mordred doesn't really have proper training beyond SWING SWORD MAKE IT HURT, plus she wasn't using her Servant powers beyond regeneration and a speed boost. With a little more training though against metas/superpowered humans he could definitely hold his own even better against them, though.
(also, powers. those are looking pretty sweet at this point. come on second Holy Grail War you know you wanna happen, I need kiddo to be a Servant for a day.)
