Time for something fun!

Need a little pick me up? Or just feel like playing something really stupid? It's time for a meme.

The Magical Swap Meme
or the 'oops, you done fucked up' meme

courtesy of Luc*

Directions

  1. Post your character with the name/canon in the subject meme. In your comment, put your preferences such as, "I don't want to do prompt #1" or "for the gender swap prompt, [character] will look like [this]" or "for the age swap prompt, my character will be 5 years younger".

  2. Tag each other and have fun.

Prompts

  • Body Swap: Holy shit. You're looking at yourself like you're looking in a mirror. The only problem is, when you're looking down at your own hands... you're in someone else's body.

  • Gender Swap: Well, this is new; you're now no longer in the right body, but it's still yours. Were you always a girl? You sure weren't yesterday. Of course, this is probably another one of the city's tricks; no point in getting all up in arms about it, is there?

  • Age Swap: Are you starting to see a pattern here? Now you're younger-- or older-- than you were a little while ago. Who're you going to bug about your height now?

  • Canon Swap: Your entire history is different now. Suddenly, you're a homestuck. Or maybe you're an elf. Or perhaps you're not even switching canons with the person you're threading with. What's the damage?

  • Power Swap:...Like the one above, but with powers instead of canons.

  • Moral Alignment Swap: Suddenly, you're evil as hell. Or maybe you're really good now. Or maybe your moral alignment is "eh /non-commital wiggly hand gesture". I don't make the rules here, bucko.

  • Luc, you didn't include this swap I wanted to do!: Well look at you, you have a bigger imagination than I do. What are you waiting for? Swap it. Just swap it. Do it, before it's too late.

You now have four minutes to save the world.**

*If it's a bad meme, it wasn't my idea.
**You do not have four minutes to save the world. In fact, there's really no point in worrying about world saving right now.

[Mentally and physically sounds good!

So, Miles had been wandering for quite a while. He still wasn't sure how he managed to get to this strange city in the first place. And he needed to find his way home otherwise Dad would be very worried about him!

All Miles could do was find a telephone box and call home, right?

The only question was where he could find a telephone box. Because he certainly could not see any sign of one down this street.

No time to panic just yet. There must be one somewhere....

Right?]

[Oddly enough there isn't a telephone box down this street, but there is a blue police box, and in front of said police box is very small boy in clothes that are much too big for him. Diarmuid is looking the box up and down as if he is trying to figure out a way inside. He is about to knock on one of the walls when he turns and notices Edgeworth approaching.

Diarmuid smiles and waves at the other boy before running up to him.]

Do you know how to get the fairy box open? I need to talk to them. My father is going to worry about me if I don't go home soon!
bowtiesnotcravats: (Huh?)

That pokemon icon is making me squee!

Fairy box? [He glances around. Oh wait...] That's not a fairy box, that's a telephone booth. [Because nine year old kids like to be smartarses. And it looks vaguely like one....or is it that funny box thing in that tv show he's heard of?

Doctor Who, he thinks it's called...

Then he processes what the boy has said.]

Wait a minute, you're looking for your dad too? Where did you last see him?
smallspot: Dia-Glow (Glow)

It's one of my favorites. :-D

[personal profile] smallspot 2014-06-16 01:11 am (UTC)(link)
A tel-e-phone booth? What's a tel-e-phone booth?

[Being a smartarse only works if the person who you are being a smartarse at knows enough to realize it and Diarmuid does not.]

I...don't remember where I last saw him. I woke up in a strange building not far from here and I left to try and find him.

[He points back at the box again.]

That is why I was going to ask the fairies if they knew what I have to do to find him. When someone ends up in a strange place, it is usually their doing!

Um....[Fairies? That boy believes in fairies? How silly! And Miles is just about to say so....

When he remembers that doing so would probably be rude. And Miles' father would not like that. After all, Miles' father is a defense attorney who helps people and behaves politely to everyone. If Miles wants to become a defense attorney like his father then he cannot be rude to this boy. He's got to help him!]

Hey, I know! Maybe my father knows where your father is. My dad helps people in trouble so if we call him from the telephone booth he'll come and get us and he'll look for your dad too!

[Well, it's an idea. After all, Miles thinks that his father can do everything.]

Are you sure this tel-e-phone booth will really help us?

[Diarmuid is unsure if for no other reason than Edgeworth still hasn't told him what a telephone booth really is.]

I guess we can try, but if we find the fairies I am sure they can tell me where my father is. He's a god and they all know each other!

[That's not quite how it works, Diarmuid, but close enough.]
bowtiesnotcravats: (Huh?)

[personal profile] bowtiesnotcravats 2014-06-17 08:30 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah! Sure, it will. [Oh yeah, he said he didn't know what a telephone booth is, didn't he?] Um....a telephone, er....a machine that lets you talk to other people in other places. So if we use it to call my dad, he'll come to us and help you find your dad too!

[In response to the fairies and god comment.] Um....yeah. [Miles is wondering if this kid is the long lost brother of his best friend Larry Butz. Because only Larry would make that sort of comment.]

A machine?

[Sorry, Edgeworth, the boy you are talking to is from the distant past. There are no machines...]

Is that something magical?

[He looks between the other boy and the 'telephone booth' and then waves toward it.]

Show me how it works! I want to see!
bowtiesnotcravats: (WITH DADDY)

[personal profile] bowtiesnotcravats 2014-06-21 09:42 am (UTC)(link)
Uh.....no it's not magical. [Wow, this kid doesn't know what a machine is?] But I'll show you how it works! [And he smiles because it's good to be nice to help someone in need. His dad is a good man who helps people and Miles wants to be just like his dad!] C'mon, help me get the door open!
smallspot: Dia-Pout (Pout)

[personal profile] smallspot 2014-06-21 11:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Are you sure? It sounds magical...

[But Diarmuid isn't really going to argue, since he doesn't know anything about machines. Diarmuid follows Miles over to the fair--no telephone booth--and then motions at it.]

That is what I was trying to figure out. Which side is the door? I can't tell! Can you?
bowtiesnotcravats: (Excited)

[personal profile] bowtiesnotcravats 2014-06-22 08:50 am (UTC)(link)
Hmm...they all look the same....[And he goes around to the next side....].......hey! I've found it! Here, uh....what's your name again?
smallspot: Dia-Pika Boy (Pika Boy)

[personal profile] smallspot 2014-06-22 08:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Diarmuid! My name is Diarmuid!

[He moves to join Miles, but when he looks at the side the other boy is indicating, he is still confused.]

How can you tell this side is the door?
