Directions

I never wore the action PJs myself, but I have it on good authority that you can totally fly. And by good authority I mean Dave could after he went god tier. Also, I dunno, you're probably hella lucky now, if you've got the title I think you do.

I... know that much. Heir of light-- but I haven't the slightest what that means.

Yeah, fly. Light's a decent Aspect. It's all luck and fortune and wisdom and junk. That's what my sister is, Seer of Light.

[He looks her over again, head tilted thoughtfully to one side.]

John was our Heir. Heir of Breath. I don't know too much about it since I never really got to see him in action, but it's sort of...you embody your Aspect. Or you're sort of gifted with it, or grow into it. Are you thirteen again now, by the way?

I know, right? This must've been what Grandpa Dave looked like in his prime. Pretty cool that I actually get a chance to check it out, though I don't think he ever had a suit this fly.

[It's an anachronistic mishmash of plate and jeans, with flame-bright Time gears etched and stitched in at random. He taps the breastplate, slightly nervous.]

Hey, I don't need to go, like, panhandle for a Master, do I? It's not like last year?

You could if you'd like-- for prana's sake-- but as I'm sure this will be reversed soon, it isn't necessary.

[She can't help but observe his suit. It's pretty snazzy, actually. She's almost jealous.]

There are other ways of conserving prana, as I'm sure you're aware of by now.

[Reassured, he nods.]

Cool. I mean, I think I'll be okay. I don't feel like I'm in any danger of getting nonexisty. Wanna check out your new powers?

She exits, giving him a nod, and looks around.]

Just outside the city should be fine, don't you think?

Yeah, probs.

[He stretches, arms and then wings, and then folds them again with a fond, slender smile.]

Should we test your airspeed on the way?

I get the feeling it isn't quite the same as a prana burst.

...I must admit I'll be a little concerned if that's all it takes.

[She won't know until she tries.

So she closes her eyes, breathes in, and... tries to imagine what it would feel like to fly. The idea of light all around her-- for some reason, that seems natural, and it helps the image. Light supporting her, light making her weightless-- becoming light. For some reason, that seems correct, too; bending the idea of what 'light' means.

When next she opens her eyes, she has to look down to see Dave.]
