- Body Swap: Holy shit. You're looking at yourself like you're looking in a mirror. The only problem is, when you're looking down at your own hands... you're in someone else's body.

[202's eyes widen with concern at the sound of that sniffle, and she takes a step forward, one hand raised reassuringly. It's an automatic sort of reaction, her protective instincts kicking in now just as they ordinarily would when dealing with her sister.]
Don't worry, we'll figure out what to do. I'll keep you safe, okay?
[Her voice is full of childish sincerity, the words reinforced with a nod; this is clearly a role she's accustomed to.]

[She lowers her arm again. If he's so determined, she'll just have to accept that and move on.]
Then what? Maybe I can still help. Are you hurt? [She motions to his head, having noted him rubbing it a moment ago. Maybe that's why he's so upset.]

Then why does he feel that wave of sadness so keenly. He misses someone, yet he can't put his thoughts together into exactly who that might be. It's frustrating and it's giving him a headache.]
I- [Sephiroth pulls his small hand from his forehead and narrows eyes at her with a frown that pulls his childish features almost grotesquely out of the shape they should be. A tear is wiped sternly from his cheek with the back of a fist as he makes himself straighten up.
He doesn't need the help. But-]

[It sounds so perfectly obvious, and offered so frankly, it's clear that she believes it through and through. Drawing both hands up close to her chest, she takes another tiny, hesitant step towards her potential companion, large grey ears perking up again ever so slightly.]
But maybe we can find a way out. Maybe it's just a trainin' exercise or something. Almost like a game, you know?

[The small boy, looks away also from this odd girl with over-sized wolf ears a few seconds after she looks around as well. Almost as if he's expecting to see some detail that she's missed. Indeed, whomever have put them in here together are testing him already. He needs to find the vital detail first. He always has before.]
I'm too old for games. They know that.
[He turns his small head back to look over his for-now companion again, trying (though not so successfully) not to stare at her perked up ears.]
And what are you s'posed to be?
[As clearly, she needs to be part of this test also.]

[Wow, rude. Both hands move up to try and cover the ears which seem to have, unsurprisingly, drawn the boy's attention. Given how much larger the ears are than her hands, however, it's a relatively fruitless attempt, though they do lower again almost sheepishly.]
'M'a shift. [She draws herself proudly up to her full height, entirely unimpressive as it is, folding her arms defiantly against her chest. The way she issues her initial reply and the words that follow it make it sound like this is something the other child should clearly have been able to piece together by now.] GIP-U202.

Those thoughts don't sit very well within the little boy's mind but he tries to shake them off; blinking them back as if they were sunspots across his vision. It's very odd how light headed he feels here, maybe he's coming down with something. That would mean more treatments and-
More what? A small voice deep inside Sephiroth whelps, cries out for the father he never had.]
A shift? [He'll leave the designation number alone for now. He knows that experiments tend to have numbers rather than names. What that means for him though? Ugh, this is very confusing and his headache still isn't going away.]

Running her tiny hands up and into her curls almost as if from frustration, the girl gives a brief shake of her head to rid herself of the strange tingling sensation that follows any sort of bodily reassignment-- Such as reducing her previously-conspicuous ears down to a more human appearance. Finishing it all off with a triumphant little grin, she nods once.]
But here, I think I'd better just look human. Just in case. How about you?
[The tilt of her head is still almost undeniably canine, bright-eyed curiosity all but radiating off of her.]
You don't smell like another Shift to me... So what, then? [Because he's clearly more than human, this one... Or else why would she have met him on a "training exercise?"]

Sephiroth watches intently as the girl goes about adjusting her ears back into what passes for human. Watching the way she clenches her curls all up and then releases with a pleased little grin. Easily he's drawn into a small grin of his own, by the way she tilts her head. Just before her question, which makes it drop almost instantly.
While he's aware there is some difference between him and other boys, Sephiroth doesn't have any further idea than that. He knows he's 'special' but this girl will probably laugh at him if he said it like that.]
