What does making an offering entail? I've never really done anything like that before. Is it to a god?

Usually wine and something personal to the god to offer in flames to them. Hestia represents the home and hearth. She is the secure structure in which Hera's standing over marriage and family find its safety. Without Hestia, there is no safety from the whims of the worst gods.

I think she'd like that. Even if they do not have inherent belief, the gods appreciate those who take the effort to make an offering.

Well, everyone needs a little something in their life. Might as well make the most of what I have and give a little back.
