I've got Dimitri Lebedev, Rosalind Strange and Death. Hit me up with whomever.

Dimitri's thoughts on Alice and Morrigan. Rosalind's thoughts on Alice.

Rosalind remembers when the novels were first printed, so it was not difficult for her to realize who she was talking to at first. Even more amazingly to her, Alice was a real and proper little girl and no longer just a character in a book. She finds Alice to be entirely endearing and quite sweet. Her vocabulary is incredible for a girl her age, and the way she manages to balance out politeness with the streak of stubbornness and curiosity tells her that this is a child who can grow into a woman that can do incredible things.

Being able to have her as an apprentice is her attempt to foster that curiosity Alice is most known for and allow her to make things with her own hands. Rosalind was never one to think it proper for a girl to not have some means of learning to use her hands to create things, be it artwork, clothing, or weapons. A girl like Alice could end up becoming the greatest philosopher in the world if she was given the chance to prove that she had the aptitude.

She loves Alice. Really, truly does. She brings out that big sister protective instinct that makes Rosalind jump at the call should she ever get hurt or find herself in some kind of danger. What Ros really wants most right now is for Alice to be able to keep cultivating her intelligence and physical strength while also being able to just enjoy being a child.

Baw ;_; I want Alice to lean heavily on her archery for a while (since I think it ties into the whole "Hey a new hobby!/Hey I'm getting stronger" thing she's got going on). Alice loves Rosalind, too. (And like the majority of her CR, lbr. Maybe in differing strengths, though).

Oh man what if she found a book on alchemy? (Not that she knows magic but it'd be another chance for her to learn about something new).

On Alice

[personal profile] neurotic_insect 2014-09-28 02:27 am (UTC)(link)
Dimitri comes from a history of trauma and fear that started with his childhood, and it's caused him to develop this kind of conditioned effect when faced with the idea of children being put in a harmful situation. He isn't particularly fond of children, but he absolutely cannot abide by allowing children to remain in a dangerous situation if there is a chance to get them out of it.

Meeting Alice was one of his big shocks during that first year living in the city. He was still reeling from the fact that he was kidnapped and suddenly, a fictional character shows up from a novel he read while learning English? He thought it best not to mention that he knew her as a character and Alice being there as a flesh and blood girl made it all the easier for him to get that thought out of his mind. He sees Alice for the child she is, and quite the intelligent one at that! She has a refreshing innocence about her that reminds him that there are things worth protecting. When Alice was in the vaguest kind of danger, he jumped right into finding her with the intention to keep her away from that which would harm a child.

He wishes he could get along with children better and do more than have what he considers to be polite conversations and interactions with Alice. She's far too nice of a child to treat so stiffly. All the same, he does think that it's better to maintain that kind of politeness with her. Children should be treated with the same respect that one would show an adult, but there's also a certain standard that ought to be upheld.

In all, he's quite fond of Alice, which is why she is "little miss" to him.

Aw! She's really fond of him, too. (She should catch up with him sometime and just talk about sewing squares together). =3=

Oh, he'd love to get back to teaching her to sew. A girl like her is meant to put holes in her socks, and she ought to learn how to mend them properly.

Ah the mental image of a growing pile of socks with holes. XD That could happen!

On Morrigan

[personal profile] neurotic_insect 2014-09-28 02:56 am (UTC)(link)
Where Dimitri has a polite, if distant instinct for protection when it comes to children, he is actually kind of afraid of women. It's a complicated mix between his issues with sexuality and a kind of internalized image of women having this fragility to them after losing his own mother to childbirth. He knows women can be frighteningly powerful. He's worked with more than a few of them in his time.

Meeting Morrigan reminded him that there are not only people of magic in the city, but extremely powerful women of magic who may just rule a whole nation. He's not used to seeing many women who can command the kind of beauty, strength and intelligence that Morrigan manages to have wrapped up in herself. And he does acknowledge that she is beautiful, even though not aloud. Fear and lack of interest does not stop him from noticing the aesthetics of physical form.

The best thing is that she doesn't think of him in terms of the mask or what little he has told her of his past. She doesn't pry, doesn't assume, doesn't change her opinion of him because he has psychic powers or a thing about not letting people see his face. It's a kind of respect he usually has to fight to earn, and he likes that immensely about her. Morrigan is one of the people he considers an honest friend in the city.

Morrigan tries to figure out when to press and when to stand down from someone's past or their powers, and I headcannon that she learned in Makai not to assume (first during the darkstalker fights and then realizing it applied to running the area, too). She considers him a friend (and they should go on another race or have some drinks sometime!)

Hurray for mutual friendships! \o/ They should go racing again. Or drinking and racing. After he gets over the head cold, of course.

Dimitri->Edward

[personal profile] neurotic_insect 2014-10-01 02:09 am (UTC)(link)
Edward, quite frankly, is the exact kind of ass Dimitri likes talking with. He's a man with a mind for intelligent conversation and word play, which are two things Dimitri enjoys immensely. The added connection of them both being used to law enforcement makes it a little easier for him to find something they can converse about.

He'd like to get to know Edward better. Enough so that they could meet in person and he'd get a chance to see into his thoughts, even just a little. Someone like him is worth getting to know, even if they end up more allies than friends.

I would like to know what your three characters think about Yuna.

Dimitri's Impression

[personal profile] neurotic_insect 2014-10-01 02:44 am (UTC)(link)
She's a terribly sweet person, if a bit naive in her own way. He's fascinated with those who can make use of magic, and she seems to be apt towards using her own for good intentions. Dimitri would love an excuse to talk to her more. Yuna comes across as one of those genuinely sweet types who tend to mean what they say.

Hm, I still need to get more out there but what does Dimitri think of Zack?

[personal profile] neurotic_insect 2014-10-03 05:32 am (UTC)(link)
He thinks of Zack as one of those boy scouts who manage to also make good soldiers. Genuinely nice people who somehow end up trained to kill and defend the homeland in spite of everything their personality showing that they're capable of just about anything else. He thinks that kind of training is a bit wasted on people with Zack's personality, but that's also his best quality. He's got the honest face act going for him, and it somehow manages to work with the affinity for swords and fighting.

Perhaps a bit dim in terms of culture and general knowledge, but ultimately a nice person. Hardly a bad thing to be.

[personal profile] neurotic_insect 2014-10-03 05:42 am (UTC)(link)
He's pretty interested in her, as she's got a high level of intelligence that fuels her actions. Mind reading isn't even necessary for him to see that. It's in how she dresses. How she speaks. The way she minds her personal space. Better socialized than him, though, but a lot of people fall into that category. Elena definitely knows how to keep within polite social parameters with conversation, and she listens to what he's noticed while also comparing his observations to her own.

Dimitri would like to talk with her more. She's got a mind and personality he'd like to get to know better.
