BRUCE YOU ARE HIS BRO. SCIENCE BRO, BROTATO, BROSTACHIO, EDGAR ALLEN BRO, BROFESSOR, BROBI WAN KENOBI. BROS.

In short, they're bros.

But they're more than that. Bruce is the one guy here who understands Tony when he can go on about technobabble. It's not the same as having JARVIS around 24/7 but it's at least someone to bounce ideas off of if Bruce is around to listen. Like JARVIS, he's also someone who can be a voice of reason when Tony is planning on doing reckless things in the name of science (and awesome). Tony's actually really happy that Bruce is shacking up with him. Partially because those walls might finally get patched up, and also because he doesn't mind his bro being around. Sure, the yoga mats and vegetarian food might bug him, but it's better than being completely alone.

tl;dr Tony doesn't mind having his bro around, and he doesn't mind leading him to the end of the line wherever that takes them.

okay, in all seriousness, Jack is still a massive jackass, but Tony can slightly respect him for that. He's a half decent bartender and a half decent dude, but he's got a self righteous streak in him that really pisses Tony off. It's very similar to a certain blue boy scout here. Tony realizes that Jack means a lot to one of his best friends so he puts up with him, but Tony's going to judge his fashion and possible life choices for the rest of the time they're stuck in this city.
