So on the one hand, Kuzuryuu's not the sort of guy he'd normally befriend. Hiroshi's kind of a strict lawful neutral normally, and a guy who looks like a gangster and ACTS like a gangster is out of his usual consideration. The fact that he may or may not actually be a murderer -- he's honestly sort of confused about that -- makes things that much more complicated for him. So by all rights, he'd probably not want to have much to do with him...
...except at the same time, since the dreams, he's also seen a kindred spirit in the guy. Someone who regrets his inability to protect the people close to him, someone who's having to live on after a momentously tragic series of events that clearly haunt him. As one of the few people who's seen one of his own inner demons, and who he has confided some of the more uncomfortable parts of his life as a result, he can't help but feel a bond. In spite of everything, too, there's that odd gut feeling Hiroshi gets (and tries to ignore sometimes because it's not scientific) that he's not Really That Bad of a Guy. He'd probably like to get to know him better.

He kind of is That Bad of a Guy though. Or at least was. Or will be. It's complicated.
