Edward, quite frankly, is the exact kind of ass Dimitri likes talking with. He's a man with a mind for intelligent conversation and word play, which are two things Dimitri enjoys immensely. The added connection of them both being used to law enforcement makes it a little easier for him to find something they can converse about.

He'd like to get to know Edward better. Enough so that they could meet in person and he'd get a chance to see into his thoughts, even just a little. Someone like him is worth getting to know, even if they end up more allies than friends.
