[You know how he sort of relaxed for maybe 0.1 of a second? Launching into the theatrics sort of destroys that because he's become horribly used to the way demons behave, all the attention they like when they're chewing the scenery.

Honestly, part of him really thought this was some sort of dream he'd landed himself in because it made more sense that way. Being abducted without knowing isn't something he likes to entertain as an option because it's possible. The things hunting him and the others could do it so easily and that would be that.

Great. Fan-fucking-tastic, it's just what I always wanted, should I thank my mum? [Not that he would because his parents have been dead for well over a century so yeah...] Who abducted us then? And why? Because most abduction scenarios don't involve the freedom of the city to do whatever we like, there's usually a dark and horrible place or some house that looks nice but isn't because you can't leave and there's always someone around watching you and you could make a break for it but you know what would happen. You know.

[Maybe the demons are right about where vampires come from because it'd explain a hell of a lot about Isaac's dramatic streak too.]

Isn't accepting this what they want you to do? Just go along with it and don't question things and it makes their job - assuming it's a they and not a he or she or it or something completel unclassifiable - that much easier? Jump straight to step five, amazing advice, cheers.

[But whatever, he doesn't trust anywhere to make tea the way he likes so he bobs along, peering up at the board and hoping against all hope that there aren't any mirrored surfaces here. Caffeine isn't going to make this better, it's probably going to make it worse but he's earned a coffee, even if it's just a boring regular latte.

At least he can put his head in his hands when he takes a seat to just sigh and wonder how his life became this.
