[November] CR/Plotting/Handwaving Meme

Time for another of these! You all know what to do by now, and we all love some good CR, don't we? You can either ask for/offer CR you'd like to play out... Or you can discuss what may or may not already have happened!

INSTRUCTIONS

♥ Post with your characters, one per comment or a catch-all. If you have any CR in particular you'd like to rally, mention it here!

♣ Go around to other characters and discuss ways your characters may have interacted in handwaved settings. This could be casual meetings at the pub, patrols they may have gone on together, hikes and explorations, or just whatever strikes your fancy!

♦ Come up with some backstory for friendships that might not have gotten played out as fully as you'd have liked. These guys are trapped on a floating island together, 24/7... You know they bump into each other! New CR is highly encouraged - you never know what might happen.

CHARACTER(S): Lily Evans
CURRENTLY: She's still trying to get her potions/magical supplies store up and running mainly because I've been slow as hell with tags and keeping her inpromptu family unit together, which is difficult when it seems like half the house wants to snog each other. Seriously, how did Regulus manage to become the one with the healthiest relationship in the house? She may or may not be also planning to snoop on Will Graham because boy has some issues. Other than that though, I need to get her more involved in the city and other residents outside her own house so any suggestions would be appreciated.

James knows, and they convinced Minako not to say anything to Lily. So if you prefer it to stay this way OOCly, consider it done!

Yeah that definitely works for me; at some point she might piece together what's going on but hopefully that'd be at a point where she wouldn't be pissed at them for doing it. Aka where she's too busy snogging James to get mad.

Is there any particular way you'd like them to meet, or just tag on to the next respective posts one of us makes?

Let's go for the latter option, since November was a rough month for me and I'm only just NOW responding to this. Sorry about that! Sirius dropped, so now Minako will just have to conspire with James one-on-one.

Oh it's totally fine, I went on hiatus the latter part of the month into December, so I get you.

Yeah I was sad Sirius dropped, but it should still work fine with just James.

Hi!! We met ages ago in one of Fi's plurks and I'm sorry nothing much happened after that. But I'm definitely still interested in CR between these two.

We did! And no that's my bad, I didn't follow up like I should have. I added you on plurk so that should help me be less of a colossal boob this round.

Is there anything Helen's active with in the city we could incorporate, or would she be interested in magical things?

Sorry again for being so slow. Such fail.

Helen helps out some at the clinic, but other than that, she isn't super involved in anything right now. I'm looking to get her into greenhouse things at some point because it's right next to her Sanctuary. Her feelings about magic are still rather mixed. She has developed a scientific interest in it, however, and am I correct in thinking Lily does more medicinal potions or did I totally make that up? If so that would certainly help her interest.

Seriously don't sweat it, I'm just happy about getting to build some CR for these two.

The greenhouse might be a good way for them to meet, Remus is currently getting involved with it and it's useful for Lily's potions ingredients so she'll most likely frequent it as well. I've been having Lily makes any sort of potion people request, but she'd definitely be capable of healing/medicinal potions if requested. I might have her make a random assortments of potions ahead of time to keep for urgent requests.

That sounds like a good place to start then! They can be introduced via greenhouse restoration, and we could maybe follow it up with some discussions about her potion making? She's an old-fashioned doctor, but she adapts.

Sound great. ouo I'll be a little busy during December but if you post anything on plurk post-wise I'll try to keep up with that. Medicinal potions vs. muggle solutions would be awesome too, so she doesn't have a complete reliance on magic like half of her housemates.

These two should likely have those talks about differences in their respective magical fields and potions some time.

Ooh, that'd be great actually. I've been watching the first few episodes of OUAT and just...the concept that magic has it consequences would just throw anyone in the Harry Potter universe.

Like horcruxes, sure, but if it's not dark magic they treat it like it's a never ending, flowing thing, like a magical waterspout.

Plus she owes him a favor at some point.

Yes, Gold has been taking notes on the HP magic due to speaking to Regulus & Remus, thus he's interested in learning more of it. He's like "you guys use magic rather flippantly don't you?" in his first chat with Regulus when informed it's used to wash dishes and such.

They're teenagers/young adults, the concept of consequences, let alone with magic, is just like "wut?" to them. Lily's not as bad about abusing it since she's muggle born, but she's gotten used to it after six years at school.
