[November] CR/Plotting/Handwaving Meme
Time for another of these! You all know what to do by now, and we all love some good CR, don't we? You can either ask for/offer CR you'd like to play out... Or you can discuss what may or may not already have happened!
INSTRUCTIONS
♥ Post with your characters, one per comment or a catch-all. If you have any CR in particular you'd like to rally, mention it here!
♣ Go around to other characters and discuss ways your characters may have interacted in handwaved settings. This could be casual meetings at the pub, patrols they may have gone on together, hikes and explorations, or just whatever strikes your fancy!
♦ Come up with some backstory for friendships that might not have gotten played out as fully as you'd have liked. These guys are trapped on a floating island together, 24/7... You know they bump into each other! New CR is highly encouraged - you never know what might happen.

CHARACTER(S): Will Graham (
CURRENTLY: He's still been doing damage control after the Nightmare Event. Things are calming down, at least, which means it's much easier to catch him out and about the city, trying to walk several of his eight dogs at once. Thanks to the information the new NPCs have been dropping, he's also been in the library even more often trying to look for any new leads.
CR YOU'D LIKE: People may start to realise that Will gets worse every time he goes home for a canon update, soooo positive CR that involves people who genuinely care about his well-being or at least want to keep him stable so he doesn't become a danger to himself + everyone else is great!! On the flip side, I can't resist people being terrible for him and his empathy or manipulating him bc his life is obviously too easy without Hannibal around to ruin him.
CR YOU WOULD NOT LIKE: I SAY ROMANCE less because he isn't interested and more because nobody should let romance come within a thousand feet of Will Graham until he stops falling apart.
ANYTHING ELSE? He's currently at the point of suffering from sleepwalking, visual and auditory hallucinations, headaches, and intense nightmares. If anyone wants to catch him in the midst of any of these things, even if it's just something like... noticing he washes like five times the amount of laundry a normal person should have bc he's gross and sweaty at night, then feel free!!
CHARACTER(S): Shijima Kurookano (
CURRENTLY: She has been a cat ever since the festival because her human guise collapsed on her!! She's taking a break from the exhausting hassle of (poorly) pretending to be a human girl, and instead she's just sticking her little cat nose into everyone's business. So if anyone wants to notice that A) this weird white cat that shows up every now and then has started following them around, or B) the weird tiny child who always wants to talk about death is mysteriously absent from the city, then go ahead! She acts like a regular cat a lot of the time, so people might have caught her stealing your food or sleeping on your clean laundry.
CR YOU'D LIKE: As always, her favourite types of people are either children or people that she can feel some kinship with (non-humans, old or immortal beings, people that appreciate death) but really she'll pursue anyone that she can find interesting.
CR YOU WOULD NOT LIKE: Cat that looks like a ten year old girl, so you're probably not going to date her.
ANYTHING ELSE? Nooot that I can think of? If anyone wants to accidentally find out about her 100% regenerative immortality at some point though that would be neat. In canon she literally loses an arm and laughs about it, and then doesn't even try to hide the fact that the arm is reattached just fine a few hours later.
CHARACTER(S): Minako Arisato (
CURRENTLY: Finally recovered from the exhaustion of her whole messiah death! She's doing what she does best: making friends with everyone. She also wants to help out around the city, so she might be taking a look around at the shops and such to see if anyone wants an extra pair of hands on deck.
CR YOU'D LIKE: It's really hard to get negative CR with Minako because she tends to stick it out even with terrible people so that she can help them to be better. So, if anyone has a difficult character and they want positive CR with someone that's going to tolerate them and encourage them to think about themselves and their life, here's your girl!!
CR YOU WOULD NOT LIKE: I'm laughing really hard but ROMANCE..... sorry she's still super in love with her dead boyfriend, Death.
ANYTHING ELSE? I'm going to be pretty absent until about mid-way through this month, but after that I'm all yours, friends.

She could always wander into the Sanctuary and set up camp or something. Since she's a cat and all. Helen does have a pet cat but he's a pretty friendly thing. Please be nice to him.
Also I've always got the feeling that Helen and Will Graham would make good CR. I admittedly don't know much of anything about his canon. I just think it could be interesting. And she does rather tend to be drawn to people who are a bit broken and/or need help. She could probably become that friend who genuinely cares about his well-being pretty easily. Or at least a person who genuinely cares about his well-being. Friendship might take a little longer. You know, two centuries of loving and losing people can make one a touch guarded.

setting up camp in the Sanctuary is definitely something Shijima would do, both because it means she can watch someone in their home environment and because sometimes it's nice to have a place to consistently go back to for sleep. so Helen can definitely expect a little white cat to be hanging around this month!
Helen and Will sounds great too! i will definitely have to look out for opportunities for the two of them to meet. she'd probably be good for him because even though she's not normal in the sense that he'd like, she's stable and if there's one thing his life desperately needs it's... stability hahaha. she's also not a teenager which is nice, he has been meeting way too many teenagers for his liking. he's pretty hesitant to go forming friendships too, so "concerned acquaintance" is definitely more than enough.

You are definitely welcome to assume Shijima's in and out of the Sanctuary as she pleases! I'm hopefully going to get up a proper reference post for the place this week that might give a little better idea what it looks like. And if you'd like a log or something ever, I would be up for that.
As for Helen and Will, maybe we'll find opportunity to throw them together after you're off hiatus. She's definitely what I would consider stable and definitely not a teenager, so yeah, that should work out okay. I should finally be around more now so I'm sure we'll be able to figure something out!
