It's not requirement at all! It's just a lowering of inhibitions and as you said, they are dangerous because of it. If your character would not have more violent symptoms, don't worry about that unless they're, say, suffering from subservient or gullible symptoms. Characters under those symptoms could be convinced to do dangerous things.
