His eyes briefly locked onto hers before involuntarily shifting elsewhere. Something about her eyes gave him a familiar empty feeling. It reminded him of the very first time he was torn from his world. His body shivered and he mentally convinced himself that the cause was his missing jacket.

He cringed as he watched her struggle to put on his jacket and accidentally tear it with her claws. In hindsight, he really should have seen that coming. The teenager could only sigh as she plucked pieces of his poor jacket out of her claws.
