February Test Drive!
Thinking of apping a character but not sure they'll fit in the city walls?
Have no fear, a meme for you is here.
Directions:
- Use an RNG to choose a location and prompt, or wait for someone else to tag.

Locations
1.TRAIN STATION - The place where everyone gets dumped off at. Your first view of Ruby City, complete with informational posters telling you all about where you've ended up.
2. THE BEACH - Lovely year-round, though in the winter months, you're probably not likely to dip your toes in.
3. THE BLACK STALLION - A rather quaint bar. Supposedly, the burgers are great, but you don't see anyone immediately who's willing to serve you. Maybe you're meant to get it yourself.
4. THE OBELISK - The tall monolith in the center of the city marks the gathering place of many events, though right now it seems to be cold and dark.
5. THE CLOCKTOWER - Offering an impressive view of the city, several residents come here to clear their heads, if they don't mind braving the narrow staircase.
6. THE COFFEE JOINT - the front windows are warm and welcoming, and it seems there's always someone friendly enough to fix you a cup when you wander through.
7. THE CATACOMBS - Intrepid, aren't you? Those weird holes may beg exploring, but go too deep and you're going to be in a lot of trouble, considering the viciousness of the creatures held within.
8. THE CITY STREETS - All told, Ruby City is a lovely place, once you get past the fact that several of the buildings look derelict and on the verge of falling down. There's no harm in doing a little sightseeing.
9. THE PARK - You thought it'd be a lovely stroll, but the park is anything but friendly, if those approaching wolf-like creatures are any indication.
10. CHOOSE YOUR OWN - Don't like what we've come up with? Feel like picking your own place? There's a whole host of lovely locations to choose from in the City.
Scenarios
1. NEW ARRIVAL - Step off that train, walk down the street. People usually latch on to newcomers to try and help them out. Even if you look shy, the other residents probably won't be!
2. WATCH TALK - Feeling lost? Disoriented? Don't worry, everyone feels that way on their first day. Fortunately - if the signs at the station are to believed - the watch in your pocket can be used to talk to whoever else might be here.
3. BAD WEATHER - Aw, man. Whether it's snow, or rain, or just plain cold, today was definitely the wrong day to get dumped off in a City in the middle of nowhere.
4. A RUN-IN - Maybe you weren't watching. Maybe they weren't. Either way, you just bumped into someone. Perhaps apologies are in order?
5. HELP, IT HURTS - Clumsy, aren't you? Perhaps wherever the train brought you from wasn't so friendly, or you just tripped and twisted your ankle. Either way, you're in a bit of pain. Hopefully someone will notice your booboos and help patch you up.
6. HUNGRY - It isn't very obvious sometimes that restaurants are what they are, especially in a place like Ruby City. Where can a person go to get a bite to eat around here?
7. MISTAKEN IDENTITY - Hey, there's someone you know! --Or maybe not.
8. BEING FOLLOWED - Maybe you're just being paranoid, or maybe you've got a reason to be afraid. Whatever it is, it feels like there's eyes on you...

Padme Amidala | Star Wars
[By now, Padme's figured out that if she's on Coruscant at all, it's not a part of the main sprawling city she's familiar with - and she's traveled all around it on Senate business. She's not certain even what sector she could be in - she can remember relaxing in her apartment after a rather shocking spy mission to Cato Nemoidia. She doesn't even remember getting on the train that brought her here - though due to her status and her owning her own skiff, she had grown rather accustomed to not using the public transport of Coruscant. She'd tried to use her watch - which seemed to work a bit like a holopad - to contact fellow Senate members, even Anakin, but it was to no avail.
Had she been taken hostage? That was always an option at this point, so she puts her guard up a little bit. Nonetheless, she does seem a bit perplexed, even frustrated, as she makes her way through the streets, hoping to come across a familiar face. It's strange for her to be on her own - between handmaidens as a queen and C-3PO at her apartment, she was hardly ever without company.]

And that woman with the strange hairdo was most likely a politician of some sort. There's a brief moment he hopes that she might be a politician from this city, someone he could talk to about getting back to the Radiance. That hope is dashed when he realizes that her expression is a familiar one. He's been wearing the same one since getting of the train.
With a small sigh he slips his hands into his white uniform pants heading over to her. There's a nagging voice that says he should do up his jacket, to stand in proper uniform but... Well she was no politician of his.]

I am, actually. I'm looking for some information on this city - do you know what sector we're in?

No clue, where I'm from we don't have sectors.
[He takes his hand out of his pocket, offering it to her.]
I'm Lieutenant Remington Bates, second-in-command of the Radiance airship.
[Even as he speaks he watches her, watches for any sign of recognition. She should recognize the name, right? The Radiance was one of the most notable ships in the Sky Military.
But then there was that sectors business...]

[He doesn't seem to pose any danger to her - in fact, he works on a ship. Perhaps she could find some transport on his ship back to Coruscant - that would be a miracle. She takes his hand in hers - her skin is quite soft - and shakes it firmly.
She's still got her guard up a bit, though - they're both in an unfamiliar place, so it's best to remain calm and cautious. And since they're in the business of titles here...]
I am Senator Padmé Amidala of Naboo. It's nice to find someone friendly out here.

[The firm handshake reminds him of Isabella. He grins, letting go of her hand and slipping it back into his pocket completely relaxed.]
Can't say I've ever heard of a Senator by your name, let alone Naboo.

No. She relaxes a bit as he does, still poised but a bit more of the diplomatic mask comes down. She really needs to get down to business at this point if she's ever going to make it back home, to her apartment on Coruscant, to the castle on Naboo, to Anakin, where her heart felt at home.]

[Sure there were the other planets - Venus, Mars, ect. - but they were just pretty stars in the night sky to him. They were unreachable, at least for for a few more lifetimes.
He looks at her, eyes still very alert despite his relaxed posture. This isn't adding up and Remmy does not like that.]

[And the other shoe drops. Padme puts two and two together - whatever must have happened to her to have to get on the holotrain here must be unexplainable, something not even the wiser Senators or even Master Yoda could explain. It's a bit of a world-shaking revelation, to be kidnapped by unknown forces and dropped in a strange city.]
Lots of planets are inhabited. My home is called Naboo, for example. But I mostly live on Coruscant, now. That's where the Galactic Senate is.
[It's becoming increasingly apparent that she won't be getting transport back to Coruscant from the Lieutenant anytime soon.]

Remmy refuses to accept he might have been kidnapped someplace and trapped in an unknown city with no way out. Absolutely refuses to accept it.

Hi there! Do you need a scarf, miss? [ Holding out a pink one for her with a bright smile and pink, cold cheeks. Despite her layers of clothing. She's a summer child; she's not going to be warm here until probably April. ]

[It's actually quite surprising to Padme that one of the first people she meets with in the city, now that she knows this is not Coruscant, thanks to the Lieutenant, is s girl with...even longer hair than she has, though beautiful and golden. She blinks a few times - perhaps she can let her guard down a little more. The inhabitants of this city have been, at the very least, kind.]
I'd love one.
[Padme takes the pink scarf from her and wraps it around her neck - it clashes with her outfit oddly, but at this point Padme doesn't mind. It's freezing.]

[She knows about the outfit, really - if there's one thing that Padme Amidala is known for besides her hard negotiation, it's her style. Still, she's truly thankful to be warmer.
She shakes her head at the question.]
Oh- no. Not this one- I'd need at least two more arms to do it. My handmaiden helped me this morning...at least, I think she did. I don't remember even leaving my apartment.

[Padme's memory, her intellect, is sharp - as sharp as she can be. She prides herself on it a bit. This? This is a little too out of this world for her comfort.]
I've heard that a few times...I was told this was a planet called Earth. Do you know anything about that?

[ Rapunzel isn't quite sure how she's going to react if this perfectly normal-looking woman tells her she's from outer space. But she's starting to prep herself for it. Just in case. She tries to laugh it off. ]

[It's become readily apparent that wherever Padme has found herself, it's outside the Republic's jurisdiction. Whatever it is, things are not looking up for her. She composes herself as best as she can and decides to continue engaging in kind conversation with Rapunzel. It's only fair; the girl helped her out in the cold.]
My homeworld is called Naboo, but I mostly spend my days on a planet called Coruscant now - it's where I work.

There are people on many planets. I'm...not sure where the Human species originated, to be honest with you - I don't think anyone is. But humans did immigrate to a lot of planets - humans aren't native to Naboo, Gungans are.

Well, the Gungans are native to Naboo, like I said, and they're amphibious, kind of like frogs? They live in their own settlements and cities on Naboo in our lakes and bodies of water like that. They have their own ships and society...humans and Gungans used to be combative, but when I was Queen I did a lot of work to improve our relations. They helped us defend our planet when we were under an attack, actually - it was a great help. I owe a lot to the Gungans.
