Time for another of these! You all know what to do by now, and we all love some good CR, don't we? You can either ask for/offer CR you'd like to play out... Or you can discuss what may or may not already have happened!

INSTRUCTIONS

♥ Post with your characters, one per comment or a catch-all. If you have any CR in particular you'd like to rally, mention it here!

♣ Go around to other characters and discuss ways your characters may have interacted in handwaved settings. This could be casual meetings at the pub, patrols they may have gone on together, hikes and explorations, or just whatever strikes your fancy!

♦ Come up with some backstory for friendships that might not have gotten played out as fully as you'd have liked. These guys are trapped on a floating island together, 24/7... You know they bump into each other! New CR is highly encouraged - you never know what might happen.

PLAYER: Flame
CHARACTER(S): Kiyotaka Ishimaru
WHO ARE THEY?: The Super High School Level Disciplinarian! Rather strict, but has been learning more and more social conventions lately and is always making an effort to be the best person he can be.
CURRENTLY: accidentally offending like everyone in the city without a supportive father Ishimaru's been trying to get a lot done, but he hasn't seen a lot of success in return, so he's convinced he's going about things in the wrong way but doesn't quite know how to fix them. He'd likely be found in and around the library, studying!
CR YOU'D LIKE: Definitely open to negative CR with serious repercussions, since he's been fully over his Heroic BSOD for some time now. Positive CR is of course great and I would love more of it, but challenge the kid! Ask him tough questions! Break his spirit for a while!
CR YOU WOULD NOT LIKE: Prooobably still not death at this point, but injury is fine and can be negotiated.

CHARACTER(S): Whiz
WHO ARE THEY?: A wicked tall guy in a mask and robes that is actually not a man at all, and rather a very anxious sentient fireball in a lantern objecthead.
CURRENTLY: Isn't doing much of anything! He's gotten to talk to a few people, but he's still trying to keep his distance from basically everyone.
CR YOU'D LIKE: Whiz needs someone to talk to who can help cheer him up. Any alien characters or characters who are familiar with space, interstellar travel, or just sailing in general, since spaceships in his world are kind of Treasure Planet-esque. He mostly hangs out in the library and is thinking of maybe starting up his old hobby of mosaic-making again, but doesn't have the motivation or purpose yet.
CR YOU WOULD NOT LIKE: It's difficult to injure or kill Whiz, so that's out, and I'd prefer that what he really is is still kept a secret for now.

Hello! I just wanted to say that so far I really like the interaction between Vergil and Ishimaru. They seem to be cut from the same cloth, so to speak, so I'd definitely like to see them spend more time together if you're up for it! Vergil also has a hard time with social conventions (being from a world full of demons and all), and he's definitely going to be hanging around the library too, so there should be plenty of ways for them to meet up.

Vergil is always up for a challenge, whether it's physical or intellectual. Right now, he's trying to work through a lot of stuff, and the Father's Day post actually got him on the right track with a lot of it.

I actually had a reply started for Vergil to Whiz's post last month, but life kicked me in the face. I think it would be interesting to see them discuss time, if it comes up in the thread! He lost a great deal of it himself, and honestly has no idea how old he is at this point either, so they have that in common.

Hi! I'm super psyched that you're psyched about our CR. It would be great for Ishimaru to get to interact with some more people who lean towards the morally grey - it's what got him his first friend, and will definitely bring additional character development with it. Some sort of competition between them would be great, actually! He's always looking to prove himself and prove that he isn't just talk, so that could be a good way to develop their interactions further. Not a lot of people in Ruby City seem too enthused about studying to him, but if Vergil is up for an intellectual challenge, he'd be more than willing to take him up on that. Alternatively, Ishimaru is a pretty big fan of kendo, which is essentially mock fencing, and he'd be willing to showcase it to anyone wanting a demonstration.

Always looking to get more CR with my firebro as well! He's learned a lot about different cultures, but only from reference sources in libraries, so he's a bit inept when it comes to a lot of aspects of human culture. It would be cool to have them cross-reference each other.

Eee, I'm super psyched that you're super psyched! ♥ And yes, Vergil is definitely morally grey by human terms, since he spent most of his life in a place where it was basically kill or be killed. Because of that, he's separated enough from his human side to be more objective and neutral than somebody with overt concern for their fellow man would be.

As far as studying, Vergil is definitely going to be doing a lot of that! Everything from how-to guidebooks for home repairs (since he just got a place of his own) to bestiaries to Japanese calligraphy. He's always up for learning something. He's actually working on turning one of the rooms in his house into a personal library, so he'll probably be frequenting bookstores in addition to spending time at the library.

Competition sounds great! I think I'll have this dude closer to healed up sometime around next month, so he'll be in better shape to be an opponent after that. Depending on when Dante gives him his sword back, he'll be nearing top form in no time.

The fact that Ishimaru is a fan of kendo is actually perfect, because Vergil's signature Dark Slayer Style is based heavily in Iaido, which seems to be in the same general school as kendo. I'm sure he'd be happy to spar with Ishimaru, and if he's ever interested in learning anything about Iaido, Vergil could definitely teach him.

As for firebro, he would be in good company! Human culture gets to be kind of baffling to Vergil more often than not. Sometimes it's because he genuinely doesn't understand it, but a majority of the time it's because he thinks certain aspects of it are useless. I'm definitely interested to see how they would interact!
