You're right--on both counts, probably. Breaking into it seems like the easiest way to get into more trouble than one can handle, but ignoring it might be just as bad.

[As Kakyoin spoke, he watched Giorno rather than look to the obelisk. Why did he seem so vaguely, distantly familiar? It was almost enough for Kakyoin to write off as being just his imagination, and yet it wasn't insignificant enough to ignore. Least of all with that completely unknown Stand staring at him.]

[But he didn't seem like a threat, and that was what threw him off. He seemed...dangerous, somehow, but not in the same way their enemies had been. Even if Giorno didn't know that Kakyoin was a Stand user as well (at least not yet), it was best to tread as carefully as possible and be ready for a fight all the same.]


...If I could ask a slightly prying question, Giorno--what kind of world did you come here from?

[This distance would be a problem, if it came down to that. There was no way of knowing what his range was, but Kakyoin couldn't survive a fight at close range and he knew it.]
