August Test Drive!

Thinking of apping a character but not sure they'll fit in the city walls?
Have no fear, a meme for you is here.
Directions:
- Use an RNG to choose a location and prompt, or wait for someone else to tag.
- Post with your character with their name and canon on top!
- If you'd like, leave contact info for people to get in contact for plotting and other such shenans.
- Tag around! Make friends. Don't be afraid to chat OOC while tagging.
Locations
1.TRAIN STATION - The place where everyone gets dumped off at. Your first view of Ruby City, complete with informational posters telling you all about where you've ended up.
2. THE BEACH - Lovely year-round, though in the winter months, you're probably not likely to dip your toes in.
3. THE BLACK STALLION - A rather quaint bar. Supposedly, the burgers are great, but you don't see anyone immediately who's willing to serve you. Maybe you're meant to get it yourself.
4. THE OBELISK - The tall monolith in the center of the city marks the gathering place of many events, though right now it seems to be cold and dark.
5. THE CLOCKTOWER - Offering an impressive view of the city, several residents come here to clear their heads, if they don't mind braving the narrow staircase.
6. THE COFFEE JOINT - the front windows are warm and welcoming, and it seems there's always someone friendly enough to fix you a cup when you wander through.
7. THE CATACOMBS - Intrepid, aren't you? Those weird holes may beg exploring, but go too deep and you're going to be in a lot of trouble, considering the viciousness of the creatures held within.
8. THE CITY STREETS - All told, Ruby City is a lovely place, once you get past the fact that several of the buildings look derelict and on the verge of falling down. There's no harm in doing a little sightseeing.
9. THE PARK - You thought it'd be a lovely stroll, but the park is anything but friendly, if those approaching wolf-like creatures are any indication.
10. CHOOSE YOUR OWN - Don't like what we've come up with? Feel like picking your own place? There's a whole host of lovely locations to choose from in the City.
Scenarios
1. NEW ARRIVAL - Step off that train, walk down the street. People usually latch on to newcomers to try and help them out. Even if you look shy, the other residents probably won't be!
2. WATCH TALK - Feeling lost? Disoriented? Don't worry, everyone feels that way on their first day. Fortunately - if the signs at the station are to believed - the watch in your pocket can be used to talk to whoever else might be here.
3. BAD WEATHER - Aw, man. Whether it's snow, or rain, or just plain cold, today was definitely the wrong day to get dumped off in a City in the middle of nowhere.
4. A RUN-IN - Maybe you weren't watching. Maybe they weren't. Either way, you just bumped into someone. Perhaps apologies are in order?
5. HELP, IT HURTS - Clumsy, aren't you? Perhaps wherever the train brought you from wasn't so friendly, or you just tripped and twisted your ankle. Either way, you're in a bit of pain. Hopefully someone will notice your booboos and help patch you up.
6. HUNGRY - It isn't very obvious sometimes that restaurants are what they are, especially in a place like Ruby City. Where can a person go to get a bite to eat around here?
7. MISTAKEN IDENTITY - Hey, there's someone you know! --Or maybe not.
8. BEING FOLLOWED - Maybe you're just being paranoid, or maybe you've got a reason to be afraid. Whatever it is, it feels like there's eyes on you...
9. CURRENT EVENTS - None at the moment, but feel free to look through our event tag!
10. CHOOSE YOUR OWN - Don't like any of these ideas? Feel free to come up with your own!
1-5
Cold like ice, like knives. Cold enough to numb even the very beat of your heart, to steal the breath from your lungs, to make limbs leaden, to make ears deaf to even the pleas of your most precious person.
Elenwë is so very, very cold. And so very, very tired. Turukano is calling but she cannot answer, voice stolen, and the darkness beckons (it's alright, it's fine - she saw them pull Itarildë from the water, her daughter is safe, it is well).
The ground beneath her is cold and hard, and does not feel like ice, but Elenwë is too cold to care. At the train station, collapsed on the platform, is an elven lady whose golden hair is water logged and heavy, in clothes soaking wet and crusted in ice, so cold she can no longer even shiver, lips already turning blue.

In short, Turgon believed he was hallucinating as he saw her laying there. But it hadn't mattered even in his dreams, he'd always kept trying to get to her - to reach her and keep her with him. He threw himself forward, crying her name, begging her to stay with him as he gently wrapped her up in the cloak he pulled off himself.
This...was more than anything had happened since they'd rescued her frozen, lifeless body. Heart thudding in his chest, he picked her up and held her to him, looking up and around frantically for any sign of where to take her. He was no healer, and it was a healer's hands that was needed.
...A literal sign finally caught his attention and he followed those directions to the first aid station, praying with all his might that Elenwe wouldn't die this time. He wouldn't survive it a second time.

Turukano's arms, his voice, he's so close. Once more, just once, to see him before she goes?
"Turu..." the barest whisper from lips too blue, a flicker of movement as she tries to open her eyes.
no subject
"Stay with me." Commands hadn't had any effect before, but maybe now...now that she seemed so very real and alive (though how much longer?).
no subject
"Tired..."
He's calling and...
The Vanyar are weak Feanor sometimes said, eyes flashing at his step-mother, although he was always a little kinder to her, if only because he was so distant. And suddenly, Elenwe wants to live, wants to prove him wrong. The Vanyar are not weak, they are not the Valar's pets, and she did not follow Turukano onto the Ice for nothing!
The healers give a sigh of relief as she finally, finally starts to shiver.
"Turu..."
no subject
Turgon gave a fierce grin of relief at that sign of pure spirit, when he saw her decide to live. He kissed her forehead again with a half-mad little laugh and reached for her hand to start rubbing it for warmth.
"Yes. I am here, right with you."
Any who called his wife, his Elenwe weak was a fool.

"Turu... where?" Where is our daughter? Where are we?
no subject
He doesn't need her to finish that sentence before he started to answer. "She was well, when last I saw her. I...do not know where we are, but this is not where either of us were minutes ago."
One of the healers piped up though, quietly explaining the situation and earned a small nod of appreciation from him.

Their daughter is safe this is all that matters.
Eventually, slowly, the shivers slow, and stop, and she drops into sleep, curled tight against his chest.
Re: 1-5
If she had Urd's Fire Element, she could warm the air, help this person. But what could a Water Element Goddess like Skuld do for...
Wait! Water! She is, of course, a genius. She might not be good on directing the water yet, but pulling it free? She could do that. Especially with a little help.
Scarlet came forth at her silent call, and the pair began to sing a quick spell. Some spells could be done just with will, with effort, the spell sung inside the head of the Goddess, simple things like levitation, or teleportation. But Skuld needed to be precise, and careful, and she needed help, so despite being a low power spell, Goddess and Angel sung it together.
She used the spell to lift all the water - frozen and solid - carefully away from the woman, without affecting the water that was part of her blood and skin. She carefully drew water and ice from hair and from clothes. And then tossed that water aside.
That would keep the woman from getting colder, but would not warm her. Skuld looked to Scarlet and both nodded, one mind, one soul. Skuld pulled off her outer shirt and draped it over the woman, then she and scarlet - their connection stretching over the woman and the shirt, lay down on either side of her, and Angel and a Goddess, sharing their body heat, because it was all they could think of to do.
What else would Belldandy do? She'd make tea. Skuld couldn't do that. She'd call Urd for help. Skuld really didn't want to have to do that. She'd sing. Skuld... when it wasn't the science and math of a spell, Skuld didn't think she sang all that well. Belldandy said she did, but... that was Belldandy. Still... if this woman would find the song comforting...
Skuld began to sing. No magic, but Bell was right, she had a voice that was, pun not entirely intended, divine. Even laying down, singing softly. Scarlet joined in, not with the words, but bringing the tune and bolstering it, as an Angel was known to do...
She could only hope it was enough.

...
so cold.
But.
There is...something else there.
Slowly, almost imperceptibly, the woman starts to warm, until with a gasping, choking sound she starts to shiver, a low cry of pain escaping her lips.
I so wish she could take apart the train....
She needed to build something. She rolled over to see what was available without taking her warmth from the frozen woman. She was a genius, there had to be som.... oh.
"Scarlet, stay with her!" she ordered and then rolled to her feet. Her hammer appeared in her hands and grew. With a grin she set about destroying the wooden steps, pulling down the banister - she could use the metal later - and then grabbing up all the nails and other bits of metal support she could find.
She took the metal banister, and anything else she could find that was not flammable and made a base, but it wasn't wide enough. She looked for more that she could use and glanced back when Scarlet gave her a questioning look.
"Well, yes, I have more materials at home I could use," Skuld said, exasperated, "But if I water Teleport home, you come too, and then she's left alo....you come too! I am a genius! Help me!" That decided, she abandoned the destruction she caused and hauled the woman to her feet as best she could. Did she really have to be so tall? Scarlet took her other side, and together they headed for the nearest body of water.
"Here's hoping this works. Lady, if you can hear me, take a deep breath." Skuld gave her a second, just in case, and tried... well she tried to water teleport back to the temple where Belldandy was. She wound up in the bathtub in her new home here in Ruby city. Good enough.
She ran hot water into the bath after getting out if it, then cooled it to quite warm. She eased the woman back into the tub. The trick would be helping the woman without Urd finding out. Last thing this woman needed was one of Urd's odd medicines.
XD
She shows no signs of regaining coherence.

She whimpers often, soft cries of pain as blood starts to flow to areas that have been cut off, white going to red, and her extremeties starting to blister, but fortunately, not badly. Eventually her eyes flicker and start to open.
"T...Turu? W-where?"

Welcome to your first impression of the young Goddess. Have fun with that.

"No...ice? This... this is Mandos, then?" She is still shivering, though less the violent tremors of before and more an intermittent wracking movement.
"Dry... yes... please?"
no subject
She came back with a long dress and flowing head scarf. The girl could regenerate her own underthings, right? Skuld sometimes forgot that non-Goddesses couldn't do all the things she could.
"Here!" she said, offering it. "If you get out of the tub, I can dry you."

"Out? Is... have you a towel?"
