June Test Drive~!

Thinking of apping a character but not sure they'll fit in the city walls?
Have no fear, a meme for you is here.
Directions:
Locations:
1. Train Station: New arrival, or waiting to welcome people? Either way, the train comes in, but you still can't ride it out.
2. Cathedral: Looking for redemption? Just doing a little sight-seeing? Or just getting a little shelter?
3. The Clocktower: You can see the whole city from here!
4. The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.
5. The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.
6. The Coffee Joint: A lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.
7. Le Cafe Anglais: A Parisian-British fusion that's as charming as it sounds and serves the best tea around.
Scenarios
1. Just walked in: You intended to get here, and you made your way in; but now someone's caught your eye and you'd like to have a chat.
2. Been here all day: You've been sitting around minding the time. Maybe you didn't notice them at first or maybe you were just working up the courage to talk-- either way, they know you're here and you know it too.
3. Bad weather: You're here because you've gotten rained in. This wasn't your choice, but at least it's dry-- right?
4. Wild card: Got something better in mind? Well screw these prompts, try it out yourself!
Have fun, guys!
Afonso de Silva / Original Character
[Afonso hadn't thought he'd fallen asleep on the train ride back Mayra to Serria, but apparently he had. Rubbing the sleep from his eyes he bent down to pick up his rucksack only to find it missing.
Come to think of it... Wasn't the train more crowded then this? Suddenly aware of the strangeness of this situation Afonso stood the moment the train came to a halt, hurrying out into the hall and then off the locomotive in search for the conductor.
He found no conductor, and before he could react the train was leaving. Afonso stared after it, eyes wide as saucers before slowly looking around the station like a lost puppy.
Where in the world was Ruby City...?]
Le Cafe Anglais
[A nasty downpour of rain had sent him scrambling into the first building he could find. Said building turned out to be a cafe of some sorts. Afonso stood in the entry way, wiping rain water from his eyes.
Well... Maybe they would have coffee or something...
Oh but how in the world was he suppose to pay for it!?]
OUO
Oh hey
Are her eyes red?
It's a very long moment of him awkwardly staring back at her, standing in the entry way soaked. Then, very slowly, a smile forms.]
Are you suppose to be taking a slice of cake?
[Because she looks like Rosa whenever he or Nana catch her stealing cookies.]
no subject
I-- um, Mister Kirkland said I could have one.
[Though Afonoso may have noticed that there's already traces of icing on the plate she's holding.]
no subject
[He's genuinely curious about that. Maybe if he's around Afonso could ask where the heck he is.
He hadn't meant to embarrass her, that had actually been the last thing he wanted to do. So, while he notices the icing on the plate, he turns a blind eye to it.]
Well if he said you can have one don't let me stop you, miss.
no subject
With her attention now fully on him, she nods.]
Mister Kirkland and Monsieur Bonnefoy run the cafe. [A pause, then her head tips slightly to the side.] Are you new?
no subject
[It would be rude, after all.
He frowns at the question, nodding. Was he that obvious?]
Yes, I was suppose to be taking the train to Serria. Truthfully I've never even heard of a place called Ruby City before.
no subject
Are you cold? I can make some tea.
[She'll explain the situation momentarily, but first comes taking care of the new guy!]
no subject
I don't have any money I'm afraid.
[The notion that he's getting free tea doesn't even register. Everything comes with a price, after all.
... Maybe if he offers to do the dishes?]
no subject
There's no money here.
[And with that, she steps to return to the rear of the display case.]
What kind of tea do you like?
no subject
[Excuse him if he sounds skeptical.
Using one of the hand towels he begins trying to dry out his hair.]
It's very nice of you, little miss, but I can't just accept something for free.
no subject
...Maybe she should explain things first; tea can wait a moment.]
Ruby City is a different world. We all got taken here and can't go home until we're sent back. [A brief pause, then again,] There's no money here.
no subject
That isn't a very funny joke. Haven't your parents taught you lying is bad?
[A different world? That's not possible.]
no subject
It's not a lie! [Then her lips thin as she looks to the floor.] Mother and Papa... aren't here.
no subject
[It comes out sharper then he had meant too, and he cringes.
He sounded too much like his Father.
After a moment he speaks again, voice softer.]
Where are your parents?
no subject
...They're not in Ruby City. They're home.
no subject
He manages not to.]
Where is home?
no subject
Japan. [It seems that's all she's going to say, but after a second, she quickly adds,] On Earth.
[Not that that'll tell him much, if he isn't from Earth.]
no subject
I've never heard of Japan before.
[Frowning he thinks back to all the geography lessons, wondering if he may have missed it. The name still doesn't ring any bells.]
What country is it in?
no subject
no subject
[He frowns, really wishing his rucksack hadn't gone missing because he knows there had been a few maps in there.]
Now don't be silly. If it's not on Earth where is it?
no subject
[She's absolutely clinging to this.]
no subject
Pushing the topic is going to do nothing but upset her and frustrate him... He'll ask Mr. Kirkland or Mr. Bonnefoy when he finds them. Until then he'll... He's not sure. Humor her? If she's making this up. If not.
Well he'll panic later. For now he drags a hand through his wet hair, sighing.]
I hope I can find a way home before the end of the semester. My sisters not going to happy if I miss Christmas.
[And that's not even counting how worried Remmy and Isabella are going to be if he's truly in another world. And then there's Rhyleigh...
Running a hand through his hair turns into tugging at his hair hopelessly.]
How long have you been here?
no subject
Ib hates being a kid sometimes.
With a little sigh, she turns for the stove and flips on one of the burners, where a kettle already sits with some warm water inside. Thankfully, it hasn't been long since she poured herself a cup of tea, so the water shouldn't take long to reheat.
His question makes her pause. She knows she arrived in April of last year, so that means it's been...]
A year and two months.
no subject
He's about to ask if she needs any help, but seeing she has everything under control he resists. Instead he waits for her to answer his question, looking around the cafe. When she finally speaks he turns his head to look at her, eyes wide in response.
That's... A long time if she isn't playing around.]
I bet your parents miss you a lot.
[Only after he says that does he realize that might not be the best thing to say.]
