Locations

1.TRAIN STATION - The place where everyone gets dumped off at. Your first view of Ruby City, complete with informational posters telling you all about where you've ended up.
2. THE BEACH - Lovely year-round, though in the winter months, you're probably not likely to dip your toes in.
3. THE BLACK STALLION - A rather quaint bar. Supposedly, the burgers are great, but you don't see anyone immediately who's willing to serve you. Maybe you're meant to get it yourself.
4. THE OBELISK - The tall monolith in the center of the city marks the gathering place of many events, though right now it seems to be cold and dark.
5. THE CLOCKTOWER - Offering an impressive view of the city, several residents come here to clear their heads, if they don't mind braving the narrow staircase.
6. THE COFFEE JOINT - the front windows are warm and welcoming, and it seems there's always someone friendly enough to fix you a cup when you wander through.
7. THE CATACOMBS - Intrepid, aren't you? Those weird holes may beg exploring, but go too deep and you're going to be in a lot of trouble, considering the viciousness of the creatures held within.
8. THE CITY STREETS - All told, Ruby City is a lovely place, once you get past the fact that several of the buildings look derelict and on the verge of falling down. There's no harm in doing a little sightseeing.
9. THE PARK - You thought it'd be a lovely stroll, but the park is anything but friendly, if those approaching wolf-like creatures are any indication.
10. CHOOSE YOUR OWN - Don't like what we've come up with? Feel like picking your own place? There's a whole host of lovely locations to choose from in the City.

Scenarios

1. NEW ARRIVAL - Step off that train, walk down the street. People usually latch on to newcomers to try and help them out. Even if you look shy, the other residents probably won't be!
2. WATCH TALK - Feeling lost? Disoriented? Don't worry, everyone feels that way on their first day. Fortunately - if the signs at the station are to believed - the watch in your pocket can be used to talk to whoever else might be here.
3. BAD WEATHER - Aw, man. Whether it's snow, or rain, or just plain cold, today was definitely the wrong day to get dumped off in a City in the middle of nowhere.
4. A RUN-IN - Maybe you weren't watching. Maybe they weren't. Either way, you just bumped into someone. Perhaps apologies are in order?
5. HELP, IT HURTS - Clumsy, aren't you? Perhaps wherever the train brought you from wasn't so friendly, or you just tripped and twisted your ankle. Either way, you're in a bit of pain. Hopefully someone will notice your booboos and help patch you up.
6. HUNGRY - It isn't very obvious sometimes that restaurants are what they are, especially in a place like Ruby City. Where can a person go to get a bite to eat around here?
7. MISTAKEN IDENTITY - Hey, there's someone you know! --Or maybe not.
8. BEING FOLLOWED - Maybe you're just being paranoid, or maybe you've got a reason to be afraid. Whatever it is, it feels like there's eyes on you...
9. EVENTS - Feel free to look through our event tag!
10. CHOOSE YOUR OWN - Don't like any of these ideas? Feel free to come up with your own!

Well it seemed like somethings didn't change at all. Really Osamu didn't remember going home at all so much as suddenly waking up back on the train as it pulled into Ruby City once more. But it was a lot warmer than she remembered it being the previous night.

Luckily she knew a little of what to expect and so she had checked the watch, only to be surprise by just how much time had passed. It seemed impossible, but at least from the looks of it there were still a few people that she knew. Now it was just a question of whether he room was still open in the hotel or if someone had already gone through all of her stuff. Making her way through the streets, she stopped and looked in a few windows to try and see what changes if any had taken place. Maybe it was a weird future type thing again and she could find something interesting.

Glomping might not be the most lady like thing in the world, but it still took all of Nadeshiko's self control not to do that. She hadn't been able to find her friend, last she had heard the other girl had been badly hurt, and no one would let her know who had done it, or let her see her friend. She raced up as fast as her lady like demeanor would allow and grabbed her hands. Then decided, FORGET IT, and hugged her tightly. "You're okay!"

There were some things that Osamu had blocked out and dismissed at a bad dream. the loss of her ears and tail was the top of those things that she had willingly forgotten. Still she was happy to see the other, and her ears perked up as soon as she realized who it was that had grabbed her hands and then suddenly hugged her.

Though despite being glad it was a little awkward since she'd never really been for physical affection. Smiling she returned the hug momentarily and nodded.

"I'm fine, though it looks like it's been a while. How's the gym going? You haven't been getting sick anymore have you?"

"Forget about me," she said, stepping back and fixing her clothes, before gently fixing where she had mussed Osamu's clothes. "Are you alright? Last I heard you had been badly hurt, then... nothing. They wouldn't let me see you, I couldn't reach you by watch. Even Nagihiko was looking everywhere for you when he got back! We've been so worried. Come! You must let me make you tea, alright?"

At the mention of that, Osamu's ears fold back. She really had hoped that maybe it wouldn't have all been brought up, and she wondered just how many people were still here that remembered it. She'd have to apologize if they were for the way she had acted.

"I'm fine now. Everything is exactly where it should be and nothing's hurt."

After a moment though she forced herself to smile again.

"But your brother is back, that's good. It must be a lot easier getting things done since you're not on your own anymore."

"I'm so glad you're okay," she said with a warm smile. Seriously, no one was allowed to break her toys but her. "If anyone ever tries to hurt you again, you call me or Nagihiko, okay?" She protected Amu, she could protect Osamu.

"And yeah, we're getting a lot done, when we're not arguing. Do you want to come over? We can have tea!"

"Heh, I really hope it doesn't happen again. I'm not even sure why it happened, so it was probably just a random incident or something."

Didn't that happen, random people were chosen for bad things to happen to. It wasn't like there had to be an explanation, she had tortured herself for days trying to figure that part out. But now, it was almost like it was a bad dream and she figured that maybe she had left or even died and that was why it didn't. If so then this was a second chance.

"Maybe all three of us should have tea or something and show him he should know better. And make sure he's not making any more messes or going through your clothes again."

She nodded. "We should do that," she lied with a bright Nadeshiko smile. It was so easy to lie with this face. Mostly because smiling was what you did when you had fun, and Nadeshiko did so love to play with her toys. And yes, that was how she thought of her closest friends - favorite toys. "I'll talk to him to schedule a proper date for that. But for today I'm being selfish. I want my friend all to myself, if that's alright?"

"Sure, he'd probably just leave me stuck on a ladder or something anyways."

Still he had been interesting, but it was Nadeshiko that Osamu had seemed to interact with more and had a lot closer ties to. So she didn't mind spending the day with her and the two of them catching up. Plus this way she'd be able to get caught up on everything that had happened and what was going on.

"So what have you been up to? Did you ever get the gym open? Is there anyone interesting that's showed up?"

She grinned and linked arms with her friend leading her back. "Tons of people have shown up, and so much has happened! I met some sort of weird king, weirder than Tadase, and we danced for hours and I got the most beautiful dresses, and then..." she frowned a bit. "I think he turned me into a rose bush. And then there was a time when no one could lie, it was hilarious. I sat on my brother and made him spill his guts!" she grinned happily. I wish you had been there, we could have taken pictures of him, he was so beat red!"

"What kind of person was the prince? Did you like him?"

Since she frowned at the part about him turning her into a bush there had to be something about him that the other girl had enjoyed, otherwise she would have been mad instead.

"I think it would be better if people wouldn't lie at all. If they had to be honest all the time it would cause trouble for a bit, but things would be a lot simpler."

Because lying and hiding how you feel are totally two different things obviously. And it would make it a lot easier if adults wouldn't lie about what was going on.

"I liked him a great deal at first," her calling him a prince amused her. She was planning to keep it in mind for when she encountered him again. It might be almost as much fun as when someone calls Tadase a prince. "There was a grand feast, and a room full of pretty dresses he told me to pick from, and then we danced for hours....."

"I agree though, about the lying," she lied with a bright smile. "It would be great if no one could lie!"

Well he really couldn't have been old enough to be a king, otherwise it would just be creepy some old man taking her friend away and dancing with her for hours. Though it did almost sound like something out of a fairy tail.

"Did you keep the dress, or did it change too?"

Because really if it was lost too, then it really was a pretty back thing being turned into a bush. Though it seemed like Nadeshiko was fine now.

"Good, then promise not to lie to each other?"

"When I wasn't a bush any more, I was in my own clothing and everything was gone. The palace, the room I was in, the feast..." She shook her head.

Then she grinned brightly at her friend. "Have I ever lied to you before? Why would I start now?" She held up her pinkie, as if to seal the promise.

"I guess he was gone too?"

Yep it was definitely something out of a fairy tale, though Osamu had no clue which one. And of course the city had a strange way of picking odd things that at times seemed really far out there and that no one had ever heard of. At the offer of the pinky though she pauses for a moment, really had just made the comment in passing. Put wrapping her pinky around her friend's Osamu grinned.

"Not that I know, and I don't think you would. Though there was the time you let me think you lived in the gym and didn't tell me about your house."

"I didn't see him, so I guess so. I wonder if he was one of us... or just an artifact of this odd place..." she said musingly. "I wonder if he is one of us, if I'd know him if I saw him again...."

She closed her finger around the other with a warm smile. "That was a miscommunication. It's not like I really wanted you to think that. It just felt that way when we were putting in so much work."

"Well why not look for him, if you liked him and he is one of us he'd still have to be here and there aren't that many people around. You could get another dress from him, and find out what really happened.

And yeah, I should have asked earlier. But I didn't really thing about since I was still looking for a place too. I bet my room's probably gone by now too."

Which meant all of her things probably were too. She'd have to start over trying to find everything she had.

"I could help you find a new place!" she offered happily, clapping her hands. "We can decorate it and make it your own perfect space!!"

She put her hands behind her back. "If he's one of us, I might have to be irritated about the whole bush thing, though."

"You already have a lot of stuff you have to do though, you sure it wouldn't be too much?"

Really Osamu would be happy just with the basics again, at least this time she had her photo album and camera, so it wasn't completely like it wouldn't have at least a few personal touches. The main thing she was worried about was the outfits that she'd have lost since she only have what she was wearing at the moment.

"True, but he might not have been the one to do it and was looking for you."

"You're my friend! Of course I'll help!" she said brightly, deciding to see if they could get the other topic dropped for now. She still wasn't sure how she wanted to handle that. It might be best to leave it for Nagihiko to take care of, after all. Over protective brothers could be so convenient.

"And I can come over and bake, so the place will always smell nice, and I can ask Arachne to make you pretty curtains, and clothing, and you can borrow some of the stuff she made for me!"

Arachne, hadn't she mentioned them before. In fact Osamu was pretty sure she had said that they made clothes for her brother too and that he had blushed and was embarrassed the entire time; which of course made Osamu chuckle a little.

"Alright, but I'm going to return the favor and help you too."

Though she wasn't really sure how since she wasn't the best at decorating and didn't know anything about what was really going on with the other's pursuit of a gym or studio.

"And I can help cook sometime so you're not always having to bake."

"Perfect! Between the two of us, maybe we can get things into shape around here! Or at least... mu brother," she said with a laugh.

"Of course not. We'll get it in shape in no time. You probably already have most of the work done."

After all it had been a long time and if it was the two of them again, Osamu was sure they had at least finished moving everything and getting all of the boxes unpacked and organized. Plus she had been having those bake sales to get other people to help. Still Osamu looked forward to getting to catch up and try those cookies again; they were certainly a lot better than anything she could cook.

"But what should we do for now? Go see if my old room is still there just in case?"

"Sure! And then if it is, we'll have a place to store stuff for the welcome back party! I was thinking we could decorate the gym, and have music, and dancing, and tea, and baked goods.... Maybe find you a cute boyfriend to help make sure you stick around this time," she said with a wink. "Or a cute girlfriend, whatever your type is. Just so long as it's not my brother. You deserve so much better, after all!"

"Don't expect too many people to show up, besides you I don't think anyone else will really be that excited. And if you're going to find a date for me you have to have one too."

No way was she going to be the only one set up, besides there weren't a whole lot of people around the city that was close to their age anyways. And there wasn't really anyone that Osamu had any attraction towards in that manner; or at least she was willing to acknowledge.

"And despite what you say, I think you're a lot closer to your brother than you admit. He's not that bad."
