I hardly think you'd worry about deals. [ He is, after all, Rumpelstiltskin; she smiles, offering a breathy little laugh. ] I meant him. He's not-- he won't cause you any trouble.

I sincerely hope not.

[He still has one problem with this situation, though.] However, I am still not comfortable with him spending his nights so near.

Well, what do you suggest? I can't-- exactly agree to force him to live on the streets.

He's a pirate; I'm sure he's slept in worse conditions.

[Don't worry, he's only being half serious.]

[ Half-serious doesn't meant completely reassuring.

Then again it's better than nothing. ]

He hasn't exactly been sleeping at the foot of my bed, you know.

[He arches his eyebrows at that, smiling dryly.] I should hope not.

We share a ceiling. Not a room. [ She'd call him silly but that's hardly fitting. ] If you object to it, then surely you can find a... Harmless solution to the dilemma.

[fairdeal]

[Gold furrows his eyebrows for a second, before relaxing into a small smile.] No. It's quite alright, my love. I am just fearing for you.

Perhaps I can stay over as well, if there is enough space. I would feel more comfortable if I can keep... an eye on him.

You have nothing to worry about, I promise. [ And there's that tiny but oh so hopeful smile of hers - when her lips curve at the corners but she bites her lower lip and gives him this look that implies how certain she is and all she asks is for a little bit of trust. ] There's always enough room for you.

[Easier said than done; he'll worry either way.]

Good, I'm glad to hear. [He leans over - remembering when she is from as he does so - and kisses her just at the upturned corner of her lips.]

[ All she hopes for is the chance to avoid conflict. But even that thought vanishes from her line of thought once he leans in so close; she can feel her heart beating much faster and admittedly it makes her feel nervous.

She lingers, equal parts enjoying the proximity and slightly scared. This is undoubtedly overwhelming and in the end she lets out a little laugh, anxious as it may be, as she turns ever so slightly in a very subtle, only half-unconscious attempt to press her lips to his. ]

[It still surprises him a little - it always does, how easily she reciprocates everything he does - but he doesn't hesitate on the kiss, this time a little different than that other first time. Not as longing and bittersweet, just... a faint brush, and he's pulling away, eyes closed and forehead resting on hers.]
