[She is cautiously stepping down one of the streets when she notices Jack. With the strangest, almost judgmental look, she calls out to him.]

What are you doing up there?

[It takes him a moment to realize he's being talked to. Kind of comes with the territory of being alone for three hundred years and only being able to be seen by kids. When he hears her voice he looks down at her in surprise, arching an eyebrow.]

Keeping a lookout for Santa.

[seamistress]

[She takes a moment to look at him. He looks...strange. She had never seen a young man like that. Things keep getting stranger and stranger.]

Santa?

[bringsthefrost]

[When it becomes obvious that she's talking to him, he rises from his perch on top of the light pole and jumps down, using the hook of his shepherds staff to catch the branch of the light once and then uses the wind to slow his ascent down, landing softly on his feet.]

Y'know. Big guy in a red suit, drives a sleigh, delivers presents to kids.

[seamistress]

[He watches him carefully. By his movements, one thing crosses her mind: magic is at play here. That might account for his appearance.]

I don't know who you're talking about.

[bringsthefrost]

[You could say magic is at play here. It's certainly easier than saying he's a spirit sometimes. He balks at that, an incredulous look on his face.]

You've never heard of Jolly Old Saint Nick?

[seamistress]

I can't say I have.

[bringsthefrost]

[This is really weird. He can't think of anyone who's never heard of North before.]

What about the Easter Bunny? Tooth Fairy? Sandman? [There's a slight pause before he says Pitch's fable name.] The Boogeyman?
