TEST-DRIVE MEME

Maybe you've considered appping a new character but you're not sure how well they would adjust to the in-game scenario? Well, here's a chance to give it a try!
• Post with a character journal you'd like to voicetest or you've considered apping to Ruby City. Feel free to play them as newcomers or as if they've been here for a while - the setting is your own choice.
•Respond to other threads with new characters or with characters who are already in the game.
• Explore different interactions, find castmates, develop possible CR - anything you want, as long as you have fun!

It's a lot to deal with, and it's something that's left her conflicted in general, but there's nothing she can do about it.
Today, Grace is in the park alone, just near the edge of the forest. She loves the forest but she's been told countless time to not go in alone. It's not like the forests in Storybrooke or Fairytale Land. There are monsters, dangerous things that a little girl shouldn't face alone. Naturally, when she sees Katniss, her instinct is to warn her, despite not knowing her.]
Hey, wait!
[She runs up to her as quickly as she can.]
The forest isn't safe to go in alone. There are monsters in there. Really big ones.

Katniss lips twitch into a small smile, which is more than she usually managed within the boundaries of the city.]
I have my bow and I outran one before. [She holds up the bow so Grace can see it - she carries the quiver on her back, the arrows she made safely tugged inside.] I'm gonna be alright.
[To be fair, she outran an over-sized wolf rather than an actual monster.]
You're pretty close to the forest yourself.

I used to like going in the forest all the time when I was at home. But I was with my Papa then. Sometimes Miss Emma comes with me here, but I don't think she likes it as much.
But I do. It's quiet. And when the birds sing it's really pretty.

[Birdsongs. Prim had liked those, too, but she had never dared to go into the woods. She'd listened in the meadow, sometimes, but even that had been too close to the fence for her to remain calm.
And Rue and her mockingjays. The woods here lacked them.]
If you wanna come with me... [Though the forest here is a lot more dangerous, maybe she shouldn't offer the girl to join her, after all.
Too late. And if something went wrong in the city, it'd be better for the girl to know a thing or two about the nearby woods.]
We'd stay close to the edge.
