[With the lack of technology in the city, Thomas' expertise were limited so he'd quickly decided to expand his body's limits rather than his mind's with all the space and time he had.

Today he was trying to climb some of the trees in the park when he saw Katniss walk by. Jumping down, he smiled.]

[That was extremely unexpected, and, given the effect the Games had on her psyche (in combination with her generally distrustful nature), Katniss first reaction is to draw her bow - though she just as quickly realizes that he doesn't mean to be a threat, and so she lowers it again.]

[Thomas holds up his hands in defence.] I'm sorry. It wasn't my intention.

Nice bow you've got there. Though if you tweaked it slightly you'd get better aim.

[She looks at her bow - a self-made one, since she had not had hers with her on arrival - and shrugs.]

It's working well enough. What do you know about bows?

Well enough isn't perfect though. [He held his hand out.] May I?

[He smiled, or was it a smirk?] I read a book once. Only thing you can do quietly at 3 in the morning, read.

No, you may not.

[She would never give the only weapon she is carrying away to a stranger. Especially not for some dubious 'fixing'.]

It works fine as it is and I won't let you ruin it.

I'm not going to ruin it! [He rolled his eyes.] Look...[And he pointed out several flaws in the design as well as how to fix them all. He even used some very technical language that his mun doesn't know to sound good.]

Just a few suggestions but they'd make your shot much better.
