Believe me, I wouldn't dream of interfering. [How counterproductive would it be to fuck up your own future alternate self's happiness? Not cool.] It's just slightly jarring to be in close proximity of them. Journey to a post-scratch universe or not, I never assumed that I would have the chance to actually meet them.

You'll get used to the fact that grown-up you is a nice old cat lady who thinks I need a million fuzzy sweaters and once stabbed some dude in the eyes and rode his body down a waterfall. I mean, I know it's tough, but I think you can work out these massive differences.

Baffling how "nice old cat lady" and "once stabbed some dude in the eyes and rode his body down a waterfall" can really be applied to the same person. Baffling, and yet somehow very gratifying.

[Though she does remember taking down an ogre with similar tactics.]
