G'day, Ruby City! It's time for a meme for both testdrivers and denizens.

Been itching to test out some CR but haven't had the posts to do it? Thinking of apping a character but not sure they'll fit in the city walls?

Have no fear, a meme for you is here.

Directions:

• Post with your character with their name and canon on top!


• Choose a location and prompt or wait for someone else to tag.

1. Train Station: New arrival, or waiting to welcome people? Either way, the train comes in, but you still can't ride it out.


2. Cathedral: Looking for redemption? Just doing a little sight-seeing? Or just getting a little shelter?


3. The Clocktower: You can see the whole city from here!


4. The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.


5. The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.


6. The Coffee Joint: Run by James Potter and Lukas, a lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.


7. Le Cafe Anglais: A Parisian-British fusion that's as charming as it sounds and serves the best tea around.

Scenarios

1. Just walked in: You intended to get here, and you made your way in; but now someone's caught your eye and you'd like to have a chat.


2. Been here all day: You've been sitting around minding the time. Maybe you didn't notice them at first or maybe you were just working up the courage to talk-- either way, they know you're here and you know it too.


3. Inclimate weather: You're here because you've gotten rained in. This wasn't your choice, but at least it's dry-- right?


4. Wild card: Got something better in mind? Well screw these prompts, try it out yourself!

[With the train gone and the rain coming down heavily, Fionna and Gumball are kind of confined to a shelter at the station for now. Not that Fionna sees the need for this in the slightest.]

Dude, this blows. It's not even raining that badly anymore.

[At least not by Fionna's standards.]

[Gumball has to stare at her for just a moment, because although he'd like to think she isn't serious, he's well aware that she is.]

Now, Fionna, I'm sure it can't rain heavily for too much longer. A little patience won't hurt.

[Well, he hopes it won't, anyway.]

Perhaps someone will come around soon with an umbrella they can share.

Neither will a little rain.

[She's determined to prove it. She knows she probably won't sway Gumball, but she can try. She steps out of the shelter, arms outstretched as she lets the rain soak her.]

See? It's actually kinda nice when you're out in it.

Yes, well, you can play in the rain all you want, but if you're sick later you can't say I never warned you.

[He is so not stepping out into the rain. He isn't crazy most of the time.]

[That's all she needed to hear. She steps back into the shelter, standing dripping next to him. Five minutes isn't so bad.]

I'm sure it won't be so bad in five minutes. It might even have stopped by then.

Precisely. Five minutes can be a long time in a rainstorm.

[He at least hopes the rain will be done by then. He'd really rather not walk out in it.]

...It certainly is a strange-looking city, isn't it?

[Fionna doesn't care if it stops or not. All she wants to do is go check out this strange new place.]

It doesn't look like any kingdom I've been to. I bet they've got some pretty amazing dungeons, though.

I wonder where they keep their dungeons? So many of these buildings are very tall, but also very close together.

I wonder where the castle must be?

[Because every kingdom must have a castle, right?]

I don't know. They're probably hidden under stuff. The secret entrances aren't that hard to find.

[Castles are usually pretty easy to spot, though. This one is a bit more elusive than most. Fionna stands on her toes, squinting out into the rain.]

I don't see any castles. Maybe they enchanted it so you can't see it rainstorms.

Now why in Ooo would they wish to hide a castle in the rain?

[The prince leans out as faaaar as he can without getting rained on to check.]

They certainly don't offer a warm welcome, either. This is rather negligent.
