[MEME] Let's Talk RC (CR Testdrive)

I don't really have a fitting picture for this.
G'day, Ruby City! It's time for a meme for both testdrivers and denizens.
Been itching to test out some CR but haven't had the posts to do it? Thinking of apping a character but not sure they'll fit in the city walls?
Have no fear, a meme for you is here.
Directions:
- Post with your character with their name and canon on top!
- Choose a location and prompt or wait for someone else to tag.
- If you'd like, leave contact info for people to get in contact for plotting and other such shenans.
- Tag around! Make friends. Don't be afraid to chat OOC while tagging.
Locations:
- Train Station: New arrival, or waiting to welcome people? Either way, the train comes in, but you still can't ride it out.
- Cathedral: Looking for redemption? Just doing a little sight-seeing? Or just getting a little shelter?
- The Clocktower: You can see the whole city from here!
- The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.
- The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.
- The Coffee Joint: Run by James Potter and Lukas, a lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.
- Le Cafe Anglais: A Parisian-British fusion that's as charming as it sounds and serves the best tea around.
Scenarios
- Just walked in: You intended to get here, and you made your way in; but now someone's caught your eye and you'd like to have a chat.
- Been here all day: You've been sitting around minding the time. Maybe you didn't notice them at first or maybe you were just working up the courage to talk-- either way, they know you're here and you know it too.
- Inclimate weather: You're here because you've gotten rained in. This wasn't your choice, but at least it's dry-- right?
- Wild card: Got something better in mind? Well screw these prompts, try it out yourself!
Have fun, guys!
oh I forgot about the train bit derp
Ah, I'm a reporter. It's my job to find interesting stories wherever I can, although in this case...
[What's there even to say? Would anyone believe how he'd gotten here?]
I'm afraid, bizarre as this may sound, I have no idea how I wound up here, sir. Nor where I am at all; can you tell me what town this is?
Re: Heh no problemo ;)
You say you are a reporter but what does that involve exactly? [He was a dwarf who knew not of the ways of a modern man such as yourself, Tintin. Thorin was of the old ways and he is rather stubborn. You may find that out for yourself in due course.]
I am Thorin Oakenshield. What name do you come by?

You're saying that others were brought on the train, as well? [He looks around the market, apparently - and outwardly - excited by this information.] Was everyone here brought on that same mysterious train? Brought here, to Ruby City, for an unknown purpose...
[Certainly what's left to do now is find that purpose. The why, the how, the who. And the way home, of course, but that will come in due time after the mystery is solved, Tintin assumes. Hopes.
Tintin, a modern man. His plus-fours say a lot differently, but the strangeness of everyone else's dress is like water off a duck's back at this point; just another piece in the puzzle.]
Like I said, they find stories, matters of intrigue that would appeal to a great many people, and follow them to their completion through research and investigation so that they can share their findings with the world. My investigations seem always to take me all over the place, more often than not, but it's always quite the adventure when all is said and done, and that's the sort of excitement that keeps people interested. [He gestures to the city around them.] This place and how we all got here, would make a fine story... if anyone back home were to believe me, that is.
[Not many would, apart from the Captain. And even then...]
Oh, call me Tintin. Have you been here long?

It seems once you are here, there is no turning back. That is what I have heard, regardless of who or what you are. The city seems to take in any race and does not care for what you were doing back home in your own land. [Kili, Fili, were they safe? What of the dragon and the rest of the quest? Only memories now.]
I have managed to accommodate myself within the city, as I could not just board the train and return home. I now reside above a blacksmith workshop, which seems to suit my needs for the most part. [Oh yes. Thorin loved waking up and smelling the smoke from the fire. It was a dwarven thing.]
I doubt anyone back home would believe my adventure here either, nor would they even know what a train was. Even now, the technology here baffles me some, as I am unused to such contraptions ever existing.

[It's not an accusatory statement in the least, just a simple stating of facts as they seemed to be. Exciting as it was to find a grand, mysterious adventure such as this, it hadn't even occurred to Tintin to wonder about how long he would be stuck in this place until he could find his answers. If he'd had a guess, it certainly wouldn't be as long as that - not without any answers to show for it, anyhow.
Nevertheless, Tintin isn't quite put out yet. This is what he does for a living, after all. Surely there's something that's been overlooked?]
You say it's... it's the city itself that brings people here? That's a bit hard to get my head around. Is there someone in charge, maybe? A mayor, or anything of the sort?
[Someone in authority would bound to have answers. Whether or not they would be forthcoming, on the other hand... well, Tintin supposes there are ways around that, too.]
There are no trains where you come from?
