G'day, Ruby City! It's time for a meme for both testdrivers and denizens.

Been itching to test out some CR but haven't had the posts to do it? Thinking of apping a character but not sure they'll fit in the city walls?

Have no fear, a meme for you is here.

Directions:

• Post with your character with their name and canon on top!


• Choose a location and prompt or wait for someone else to tag.

1. Train Station: New arrival, or waiting to welcome people? Either way, the train comes in, but you still can't ride it out.


2. Cathedral: Looking for redemption? Just doing a little sight-seeing? Or just getting a little shelter?


3. The Clocktower: You can see the whole city from here!


4. The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.


5. The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.


6. The Coffee Joint: Run by James Potter and Lukas, a lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.


7. Le Cafe Anglais: A Parisian-British fusion that's as charming as it sounds and serves the best tea around.

Scenarios

1. Just walked in: You intended to get here, and you made your way in; but now someone's caught your eye and you'd like to have a chat.


2. Been here all day: You've been sitting around minding the time. Maybe you didn't notice them at first or maybe you were just working up the courage to talk-- either way, they know you're here and you know it too.


3. Inclimate weather: You're here because you've gotten rained in. This wasn't your choice, but at least it's dry-- right?


4. Wild card: Got something better in mind? Well screw these prompts, try it out yourself!

[She makes a small "hmph" noise.]

Start with growing a backbone.

Why is it you keep telling me to do things like that? Do I really seem so weak to you even after all I have explained?

Of course. You're weak and insipid. You look to enslave yourself to others!

[Anger flashes in her eyes.]

You would take all the responsibility and all the pain upon yourself! And no matter how many times people betray you, you refuse to change!

[There's something other than anger in her voice. Desperation? Concern?]

[Diarmuid sighs and rubs at the bridge of his nose.]

Not all prefer to lead, Saber. And without those like me who you call so weak, the leaders would have no one to lead and therefore, could not be leaders.

[He suddenly smiles something that looks suspiciously like a smirk.]

And just so you know, there was a time when I led. Just because I choose to follow now does not make me any less of a man than I was back then when I took up the mantle of leadership.

[She has to bite back the embarrassing words and mentally chide herself for even letting the thought pass her mind. For a second, she had wanted to say something like "A man who understands chivalry so well should be a leader."]

[She doesn't feel anything positive for him! It's impossible!]

I suppose you are right. Some are born to lead, some are born to follow.

[Her lips curl into a smirk to match his.]

Perhaps after I attain the Grail, I will allow you to follow me. So I can wring the foolishness out of you.

[Diarmuid shakes his head and laughs.]

You make two false assumptions there, Saber. One is that YOU will win the Grail instead of me and the second is that I will still feel like following once all is said and done.

Who knows. Perhaps once I win I will allow you to follow me so that you learn the value of being a follower.

Is that a challenge?

[She smiles.]

If so, I shall gladly accept. Just do not regret making it when you lose.

[Diarmuid returns the smile.]

I have yet to regret anything in my life, Saber. I have no intent to start now...

[He pauses suddenly, his expression falling as he remembers his war for the Grail is now over thanks to the actions of his master. Who knew when he might get the chance to try for the Grail again?]

It is unfortunate, but if your war is still ongoing, then you have the advantage over me.

[She shrugs.]

A regrettable matter, then, that we could not have been summoned into the same Grail War.

Yes, that would have been more ideal, wouldn't it?

[His smile returns.]

But don't think that means I have given up. I don't give up. I will find a way somehow.

I'll wait then. Until you find that way.

[He bows his head to her.]
