G'day, Ruby City! It's time for a meme for both testdrivers and denizens.

Been itching to test out some CR but haven't had the posts to do it? Thinking of apping a character but not sure they'll fit in the city walls?

Have no fear, a meme for you is here.

Directions:

• Post with your character with their name and canon on top!


• Choose a location and prompt or wait for someone else to tag.

1. Train Station: New arrival, or waiting to welcome people? Either way, the train comes in, but you still can't ride it out.


2. Cathedral: Looking for redemption? Just doing a little sight-seeing? Or just getting a little shelter?


3. The Clocktower: You can see the whole city from here!


4. The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.


5. The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.


6. The Coffee Joint: Run by James Potter and Lukas, a lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.


7. Le Cafe Anglais: A Parisian-British fusion that's as charming as it sounds and serves the best tea around.

Scenarios

1. Just walked in: You intended to get here, and you made your way in; but now someone's caught your eye and you'd like to have a chat.


2. Been here all day: You've been sitting around minding the time. Maybe you didn't notice them at first or maybe you were just working up the courage to talk-- either way, they know you're here and you know it too.


3. Inclimate weather: You're here because you've gotten rained in. This wasn't your choice, but at least it's dry-- right?


4. Wild card: Got something better in mind? Well screw these prompts, try it out yourself!

[Lancer shakes his head.]

As far as I can tell, you deserve it as much as any Servant.

[Though he does not.]

But twice means the problem must lie with the thing that is similar between the two situations. Me.

What are you talking about? It's not your problem. You just have bad luck.

Bad luck is just an excuse and knights don't make excuses. Even bad ones...

[He shakes his head.]

[He doesn't sound very convinced, but Diarmuid doesn't want to argue with the other servant right now.]

I...would like to have a chance. I am just not very confident about the odds with how everything else has gone for me recently.

[Diarmuid shuts his eyes and, after a moment, shakes his head.]

You have far too many other things to worry about. You should not have to worry about me too.

It's not something I have to do, but it's something I wanna do. You're a nice guy. I like you.

[Diarmuid opens his eyes and gives the other Lancer a confused look.]

You hardly know me. How can you say I'm nice let alone know if you like me already?

Well, you're a pretty honest guy. And you can trust another Servant to tell them your name. Anyone who does that can't be too bad.

[Diarmuid raises an eyebrow at him.]

Maybe I just don't like secrecy and would rather win by my own skills than because someone didn't happen to know my identity? That doesn't necessarily make me a good guy you know.

[Lancer makes a face at the other Servant.]

It makes you better than a great bunch of people out there.

[Diarmuid starts to argue against the other servant's assumptions, but stops himself and sighs.]

Perhaps, you are right. I'm sorry. I'm not usually like this, but after what happened to me right before I came here, I am finding it hard to be as optimistic and confident as I usually am. Maybe if I rest a bit, I will be able to recapture some of what I have lost.

Well, once we start fishing, you can nap. Rest as long as you want.

[He seems confused for a moment before remembering why they had originally come out. Diarmuid then chuckles.]

Yes...napping during fishing is not something new.

[Diarmuid isn't sure if such a short nap will really help him any especially since a servant who doesn't have to sleep really shouldn't be this tired, but it won't hurt to try, will it?]

...Just watch out if a fish or two end up in your shirt.

[Diarmuid raises a confused eyebrow at the other servant.]

And how exactly am I going to end up with fish in my shirt if I am sleeping?

[Lancer only turns his face and whistles innocently.]

Oh...is that how it is?

[A small smile crosses Diarmuid's face.]

Do you know another way fish can get into someone's shirt?

[Diarmuid suddenly jumps to his feet with a smirk and tries to knock Cu Chulainn into the lake.]

[puppy_lancer]

[Cu Chulainn yelps and tries to jump back, but trips and ends up falling head-first into the lake.]

Hey!

[He crawls out half way and reaches to grab Diarmuid's ankle.]

[Diarmuid manages to move back out of the range of the grab for the moment and laughs.]

You did ask!

[Said as if it justifies his actions...]

[He pouts, then goes back to smiling.]

Alright, so you got me there. Gotta say--you're pretty fast. Now, get me out? I promise I won't drag you in.
