G'day, Ruby City! It's time for a meme for both testdrivers and denizens.

Been itching to test out some CR but haven't had the posts to do it? Thinking of apping a character but not sure they'll fit in the city walls?

Have no fear, a meme for you is here.

Directions:

1. Train Station: New arrival, or waiting to welcome people? Either way, the train comes in, but you still can't ride it out.


2. Cathedral: Looking for redemption? Just doing a little sight-seeing? Or just getting a little shelter?


3. The Clocktower: You can see the whole city from here!


4. The Black Stallion Saloon: You were told the burgers were great here-- but maybe you just came for the beer.


5. The Library: You came to do a little research, but it looks like all of the information's just out of your reach. Though, you can always find a way to pass the time here.


6. The Coffee Joint: Run by Lukas, a lovely place to have a chat and a bite to eat.


7. Le Cafe Anglais: A Parisian-British fusion that's as charming as it sounds and serves the best tea around.

Scenarios

1. Just walked in: You intended to get here, and you made your way in; but now someone's caught your eye and you'd like to have a chat.


2. Been here all day: You've been sitting around minding the time. Maybe you didn't notice them at first or maybe you were just working up the courage to talk-- either way, they know you're here and you know it too.


3. Inclement weather: You're here because you've gotten rained in. This wasn't your choice, but at least it's dry-- right?

[ Dug is running through the streets chasing a pigeons around the plaza in front of the clock tower. By the way, he talks, thanks to his special collar made by his good and kind (ex)-master. ]

Bird! Come back, bird!

[ He barks gleefully a few times; he's a bit loud, so you're probably going to hear him. ]

I am going to catch you, you birds!

[. . . Is that... A talking dog? Did that dog just talk??? Isaac tilts his head to the side, stopping to watch the freaking talking dog. The werewolf steps closer, amazed and wary. The City has a habit of doing weird things, and they usually don't end well for people...]

Woah. Seriously?

[Don't mind him, he's just going to stand there and gape like a braindead monkey.]

[ Dug pushes his nose into the air when he hears and smells Isaac approaching. He swivels his head around, completely derailed from the birds. ]

You smell like a dog!

[ Isaac, yeah, he's just gonna come up to your pant leg and snuffle a few times against the fabric. His tail is wagging slowly, hesitantly gauging to see how this man will react. ]

SWOOPS IN

[ Amaterasu hears the voice, and of course she's curious. It reminds her of a child, and she's seen them chase birds just as often as she does. But then she notices that it's a dog shouting, and her ears flick up before she turns her attention to the birds.

Well, who ever said that she wasn't just as playful as the next "dog?"

She flicks her tail and uses it to draw, sending a little gust of air towards the birds to turn them back towards Dug. ]

[ Dug excitedly and loudly barks when the birds are blown back toward him, making him snap at them. But he doesn't actually trap them in his teeth- Just enough to make them spread their wings and move a few feet away again.

These are not like the birds that his master wanted. These are just birds he likes to scare them and run around. ]

Oh!

[ He's noticed the wolf now, bounding toward her and sniffing excitedly. ] Hi there!

The nation is just going stare at you, Dug, looking exactly as flabbergasted as you can expect someone to look when he comes across a talking dog.]

[Someone has just fallen in pet love, just saying. He spends a lot of time talking at his poor long-suffering dog, but his dog has never responded.]

My Lupo can't talk but he likes to listen to me when I talk to him and scratch his ears and scratch him underneath the chin do you like to be scratched underneath the chin too may I do it I know some dogs don't like it but most do don't they and do you like sausages Lupo likes sausages a lot but I'm not supposed to feed him any he could get sick from too many but he didn't get sick that time he ate the whole package so maybe he won't he's a large dog and he has the nicest fur too could you ask him why he doesn't like to have it brushed I'm careful not to hurt him and I've been trying various brushes and I...

[Don't mind him, he is excited. Meeting a talking dog is the most exciting encounter yet in Ruby City. Aliens and people from the future just can't compare.]

[ Oh my goodness this guy could talk to him forever. He was talking about all of these nice things like scratches and food. And he smelled like pizza!

Dug rolls over onto his back to expose his belly, his tongue lolling out. Because he will not turn down a belly rub. ]

What is your favorite food? I'll find you your favorite because you don't have hands and you can't open cans or operate a stove and having to eat from dumpsters is awful, it makes your gourmet stomach hurt!
